I got pregnant even though I wasn't ovulating.

Many people use the ovulation period to determine the safe menstrual period and use it as a contraceptive measure. So, can a woman get pregnant without an ovulation period? The answer is of course not certain. In fact, the safe menstrual period determined by the ovulation period is not a guarantee. Many people think that it is not easy to get pregnant without an ovulation period, but some people still get pregnant. Therefore, it is best not to use this as a basis for contraceptive measures. So how can you get pregnant without ovulation?

How to get pregnant without ovulation?

Under normal menstruation conditions, a girl's ovulation period is calculated from the first day of menstruation to the 14th day. The 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation period are added together to form the ovulation period. Ovulation mainly refers to the release of the secondary coil oocyte, i.e. egg. After this secondary coil oocyte enters the bilateral fallopian tubes, it undergoes the second meiotic division in the bilateral fallopian tubes. This breakdown occurs after fertilization, when the sperm nucleus enters the secondary oocyte. The result of the disintegration is a valid macrocell, the egg, and a polar body that cannot be fertilized.

The chance of getting pregnant after ovulation is relatively high, generally reaching more than 90%. Calculating the ovulation period is conducive to intercourse and pregnancy. In addition to using the physiological cycle calculation method, ovulation test paper testing method, ovulation temperature measurement method, cervical mucus observation or B-ultrasound detection method can help us grasp the ovulation period, thereby arranging the time of intercourse and increasing the chance of pregnancy. The probability of pregnancy after ovulation is relatively high, but the actual probability depends on the woman's health condition. Under normal circumstances, women have regular menstruation and ovulation, which is estimated to occur about 14 days before menarche. However, women are easily affected by their spirit, diet, daily life and working environment, and do not follow the calculated ovulation period. Therefore, the probability of pregnancy after ovulation is not 100%.

Ovulation usually occurs around the 14th day before the next menstruation, so from the 12th day after the first menstruation, start using the ovulation test strip to test for ovulation. If it shows a weak positive, please test again the next day. If it continues to test strong positive, it means ovulation will occur within 48 hours. If the test again the next day shows a negative, it means ovulation has already occurred. It is easiest to get pregnant if you have sex when the ovulation test paper turns from strongly positive to negative. If you are successful in getting pregnant through intercourse, you can go to the hospital for a blood hCG test 8-11 days after intercourse to determine whether you are pregnant.

Ovulation test strips are one of the two common ovulation test tools at home. Although if you want to get pregnant quickly, using ovulation test strips will not increase your chances of successful pregnancy, and the best way is to arrange sexual intercourse every three or four days, there are still many pregnant mothers who want to know their ovulation period. There are ovulation test strips that test your urine, and there is also an ovulation detector that tests your saliva.

How to test ovulation

Using professional ovulation test strips can help you visually see the changes in your ovulation period. You should buy reliable ovulation test strips. I won’t mention the actual well-known brands here, you can just search them online. If you use ovulation test strips, you should test your urine between 10:00 and 20:00 every afternoon. It is best to test at the same time every day. During the follicular phase, it is sufficient to test once a day. Generally, there will not be too many changes because the eggs mature during this period and have not yet grown to maturity. However, in order to avoid rapid growth, it is still sufficient to test once a day to see changes. One week after the menstrual period is over, test twice a day, once in the morning and once at noon. And make a good comparison. During the ovulation period, the pregnancy test paper becomes significantly darker. At this time, you can test four times a day, once every two hours. When the pregnancy test paper reaches its peak and becomes darker (darker than the comparison line) on the ovulation day, it is the ovulation period. This deep layer can last for two days. After ovulation, the pregnancy test paper quickly returns to the shallow follicular phase. Tip: A weak positive test during the non-ovulation period is also normal. There is no need to be suspicious by nature.

B-ultrasound tests in hospital outpatient clinics can measure the actual size of the egg and determine the time of ovulation. Although this method is the most accurate, it is also very expensive. It also means doing B-ultrasounds all the time, which will cause great stress. It is a time-consuming, labor-intensive and costly method, but it is the most accurate. If you go to the hospital for testing, you only need to follow the doctor's instructions. The doctor also has an overall plan for when to go for the test. Therefore, you just need to prepare money and time.
