Hard lump in female groin

Hard lump in female groin

If a woman has a lump in her groin area, it may be an inguinal hernia or a swollen lymph node. If it is an inguinal hernia, it is common in inguinal oblique hernia or direct hernia. It is due to damage on the abdominal muscles. The abdominal contents, retina or colon, enter the subcutaneous tissue through the damaged part of the abdominal cavity, forming a lump in the subcutaneous tissue. The lump is soft in color. After pressing lightly, the lump can enter the abdomen and there will be no pain.

If the hernia is incarcerated, the contents enter the subcutaneous tissue and cannot go into the abdomen by pressing hard. At this time, the lump may become hard, and there will be pain in the lump and abdominal pain. You need to go to the hospital immediately for regular examination and treatment, and emergency surgery if necessary. If it is groin lymphadenopathy, it may also manifest as a lump in the groin, which is hard in color and about the size of a cowpea. It cannot go into the abdomen after pressing hard, and a pelvic CT scan is needed to further confirm it. If it is a swollen lymph node, it may require surgical removal and then sent for pathological examination.

Female patients may feel a lump in their groin. How long it will take to heal depends on the specific circumstances of the lump: 1. If female patients have soft tissue infection in their groin, which leads to swollen lymph nodes and lumps, if the soft tissue infection can be actively controlled and the groin area is kept clean, the local inflammation in most patients will gradually disappear after 5-7 days, the swollen lymph nodes will be absorbed autonomously, and the lump will completely disappear.

2. If a female patient has a local lump in the groin accompanied by a femoral hernia, if the female patient does not undergo surgical treatment, the lump may repeatedly appear on the epidermis and cannot be completely healed. Only surgery can be performed to insert a patch and completely repair the femoral hernia damage to completely solve the lump in the groin.
