Is Ureaplasma urealyticum difficult to treat in women?

It is relatively easy to treat female ureaplasma positive. In general, patients are advised to do a drug sensitivity test while checking female secretions, and choose relatively sensitive antibiotics for treatment, which will take about a week to cure. Because chlamydia can be transmitted through sex, it is recommended that patients and their sexual partners receive treatment at the same time as they receive treatment, and that they not have sex during the treatment period. If the hospital where the patient is located does not have the standards for drug sensitivity testing, azithromycin is generally chosen for treatment.

The treatment of ureaplasma urealyticum infection mainly uses relatively sensitive antibiotics to treat infection. Macrolide antibiotics, fluoroquinolone antibiotics, tetracycline antibiotics, etc. can be used for treatment, and two antibiotics can be used in combination. Generally, it takes 1-2 weeks of continuous use of the drug to completely recover.

During the treatment period, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited. Ureaplasma urealyticum infection in women mainly invades the urinary tract, causing non-chlamydial urethritis, cervicitis, vaginitis and other urinary tract inflammatory diseases. The main manifestations are urethral irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, painful urination, excessive vaginal discharge, itching, and urinary tract chlamydia infection. It is mainly transmitted through the sexual life of the couple, and sexual life should be avoided before recovery.

Theoretically, ureaplasma infection is not difficult to treat. Ureaplasma urealyticum is a common microorganism and a common cause of urinary tract infections. The cause of this type of microbial infection is mainly related to unclean sexual life. The treatment after ureaplasma infection mainly uses relatively sensitive antibiotics for anti-infection treatment. If there are corresponding conditions, microbial modeling and drug sensitivity experiments can be carried out, and sensitive antibiotics can be selected for anti-infection treatment based on the results of drug sensitivity tests to improve the actual effect of treatment. If there is no standard for drug sensitivity testing, drugs are used based on diagnostic and treatment experience, mainly macrolide antibiotics, such as azithromycin and erythromycin; tetracycline antibiotics and fluoroquinolone antibiotics, such as gatifloxacin and levofloxacin.
