Pregnancy check-up process

Pregnancy check-up process

For prenatal check-up, an ultrasound should be done 10 weeks before pregnancy to confirm whether it is an intrauterine pregnancy, and an NT test should be done around 12 weeks of pregnancy. You can create a card if the NT result is normal, because the baby's development is relatively stable after 12 weeks of pregnancy. The doctor will schedule the next prenatal check-up time after the card is created. When creating the card, you need to bring the identity documents of both husband and wife for registration. Creating the card requires comprehensive blood tests, urine tests, electrocardiograms, routine leucorrhea tests, etc. You will schedule the next check-up time according to your personal situation. Generally, it is checked once a month before the 28th week of pregnancy and once a week after the 36th week of pregnancy.

The prenatal examination process is as follows: the first time, 12 weeks of pregnancy, create a maternal and child health record, comprehensively check the pregnant woman's heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, weight, height, gynecological pelvic measurement, fetal abdominal circumference and uterine height measurement, blood analysis, urine analysis, renal thyroid hormone, B-ultrasound NT examination. The second time, 15-20 weeks of pregnancy.

In addition to the basic examination, there is also a Down syndrome screening test. The third time, at 24 weeks of pregnancy, a glucose tolerance test and the first fetal anomaly screening test using four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound. The fourth time was at 28 weeks, and the second four-dimensional color ultrasound examination was performed to exclude fetal anomalies and to eliminate pregnancy complications and placenta previa. The fifth time, at 30-32 weeks, any abnormal fetal position can be corrected. The 6th time was 36 weeks. 7th time, 37 weeks. After 37 weeks, check once a week, and if any abnormalities are found, the frequency of inspection can be increased at any time.

Pregnancy check-ups are divided into early pregnancy check-ups, mid-pregnancy check-ups and late pregnancy check-ups. Early pregnancy check-ups can be done in the 12th week at the hospital to create a file, and do height, weight, blood pressure, routine blood and urine tests, liver and kidney function, electrocardiogram, B-ultrasound and other tests. In the second trimester, you can go to the hospital for a pregnancy check-up every 4 weeks, Down syndrome screening can be done between the 15th and 20th weeks of pregnancy, and a four-dimensional color ultrasound examination can be done between the 26th and 28th weeks. In the second and late pregnancy, do a pregnancy check-up every 2 weeks, and in the last month of pregnancy, go to the hospital every week for routine physical examinations and fetal heart monitoring.
