What tests are necessary for pregnancy?

Make sure you have regular prenatal checkups during pregnancy. B-ultrasound examination can be done around 7 weeks of pregnancy to check the fetal heartbeat and fetal heart rate development. The NT test needs to be done between 11 and 14 weeks of pregnancy. It is based on B-ultrasound examination to observe the thickness of the fetal nuchal translucency to determine whether the child is likely to have chromosomal abnormalities. It is also called early Down syndrome screening. Down syndrome screening, also known as mid- to late-stage Down syndrome screening, is needed during the 16th to 20th week of pregnancy. It is done by extracting blood from the pregnant mother to check whether the child is at high risk of congenital idiocy.

If the test results are normal, a four-dimensional color ultrasound examination, also known as an abnormality screening ultrasound, can be done during the 22nd to 28th week of pregnancy to check whether the fetus has congenital developmental defects, such as cleft lip and palate, anencephaly, congenital heart disease, or abnormal limb growth and development. During pregnancy, blood tests are required to check liver and kidney function, four items of medical quality management, and routine blood tests to check blood type and blood sugar levels. A glucose tolerance test should be done around 20 weeks. Before 28 weeks, you need to go to the hospital for a check-up every 4 weeks; after 28 weeks, it should be checked every ten days; after 36 weeks, it should be checked once a week.

If you are planning to get pregnant, you must do a good job of pre-pregnancy physical examination, mainly including whether you have any infectious diseases, gynecological diseases, and whether there are any factors in your uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, or uterus that may affect pregnancy. It is imperative to have a checkup during pregnancy to eliminate the possibility of threatened miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy first. There are different prenatal check-up items at different stages of pregnancy, and most of them need to be done to eliminate potential risks. For older mothers and pregnant women with multiple babies, Down syndrome screening and four-dimensional color ultrasound examination are also required. Prenatal check-up is very important and should never be ignored.

Examinations that pregnant women must do: At 50 days in early pregnancy, it is recommended to do B-ultrasound to check the fetal heartbeat and fetal heart rate. Only when the fetal heartbeat and fetal heart rate are developed can it be confirmed that the test tube embryo is developing normally. Between 11-13 weeks, it is recommended to do NT to conduct the first screening of the fetus's sex chromosomes. Pregnant women should then undergo basic physical examinations. Between 16 and 20 weeks of menstruation, it is recommended to undergo Down syndrome screening or minimally invasive DNA testing. Around 24 weeks after menopause, it is recommended to do an ultrasound to exclude fetal abnormalities, plus an OGTT, or glucose tolerance test.
