Is it normal to have frequent fetal movements at 29 weeks of pregnancy?

Baby movement refers to the activities of the fetus. In fact, the fetus has already had fetal movements a long time ago, but the mothers have not noticed it yet. One day in the fourth month of pregnancy, pregnant mothers will feel the first fetal movement of the baby. As the pregnancy period increases, the baby's fetal movements will become more frequent. So, is it normal to have frequent fetal movements at 29 weeks of pregnancy?

At 29 weeks of pregnancy, if the fetal movement occasionally does not exceed 10 minutes and there are no other discomfort symptoms, it is normal. If the fetal movement is frequent for more than 30 minutes, the fetus may suffer from intrauterine hypoxia and you need to seek medical attention immediately to check the fetal heartbeat. Expectant mothers should count fetal movements appropriately, once in the morning and once in the evening every day, each time for one hour, and add up the three times and multiply by 4 to calculate the number of fetal movements in 12 hours. Continuous posture only counts once. Emotional excitement, strong light, loud noises and other stimuli to the fetus can also increase the frequency of fetal movements.

After 4 months of pregnancy, that is, starting from the 5th month, the pregnant mother can obviously feel the movement of the fetus. The fetus stretches out its hands, lifts its legs, and impacts the endometrium in the uterus. This is fetal movement. The frequency and speed of the baby's fetal movement express the well-being of the fetus. Normally, the baby's fetal movement is not less than 3 to 5 times per hour, and the number of obvious fetal movements in 12 hours is more than 30 to 40 times. However, due to the large individual differences between fetuses, some fetuses move about 100 times in 12 hours. As long as the fetal movement is regular and rhythmic, with little change, it proves that the baby's development is normal.

The frequency of fetal movement is not constant and will not change. During the 28th to 38th week of pregnancy, the fetal movement is active, and then it becomes slightly weaker until the mother gives birth. The pregnant woman's exercise, posture, mentality, as well as loud noises, strong light, and touching the abdomen can all cause changes in the baby's fetal movement. In the early stages of hypoxia, the main manifestation is frequent fetal movements. As the hypoxia time increases and worsens, the fetal movement will gradually decrease. At this stage, the fetal movement has decreased. It is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible to check whether the fetus has hypoxia. Fatigue, hunger, etc. can also reduce fetal movements, which usually decrease after rest and meals. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination first and deal with any abnormalities properly.
