What does female external reproduction include?

What does female external reproduction include? Many people don't know what women's external reproduction is. The reproductive organs are the exposed part of the sexual organs, also known as the private parts. Located between the ischial tuberosity to the perineum and the inner side of the thighs, it includes the mons pubis, labia majora and minora, clitoris, Bartholin's glands, urethral opening and vaginal opening.

1. The mons pubis is a fat sponge pad covering the upper and front protrusions of the ischial tuberosity. The mons pubis of adult women is covered with pubic hair scattered in an inverted triangle.

2. The labia majora are the plump skin folds that widen downward on both sides of the mons pubis and merge in front of the perineum, which is called the posterior perineum. It contains human fat, connective tissue and venous plexus, and is prone to abscesses after trauma.

3. The labia minora are located on the inner side of the labia majora. They are two flaky wrinkled walls with many sebaceous glands and a moist surface. The blood vessels and nerves are rich and abundant, and the feeling is flexible. The upper or front development is divided into two leaves, which surround the clitoris and meet in the middle line. The upper leaf is the clitoral foreskin and the lower leaf is the clitoral frenulum; the rear development meets below the vaginal opening. The labia majora is formed, and a deep pit is formed between the ruptured hymen, called the navicular fossa, which disappears after the pregnant woman gives birth.

4. The clitoris is a cylindrical hardened tissue located on the top of the labia minora on both sides. It is equivalent to the male penis and is divided into three parts: head, body and foot. It is composed of sponge-like tissue and involuntary muscles, contains nerves and blood vessels, and is easy to bleed after injury.

5. The vaginal vestibule is the prismatic area between the two labia minora, with the external urethral opening in the front and the vaginal opening on the back side. The vaginal opening is surrounded by mucous membrane wrinkles, which is called "broken hymen". The opening is mostly in the center. When single, it is round or crescent-shaped, and sometimes sieve-shaped. After marriage, the hymen ruptures in a star-shaped pattern. After childbirth, the hymen is further torn and becomes a saw-shaped ridge, which is called a "hymen scar." In clinical medicine, single, married or multiparous women can usually be distinguished based on the way the hymen is broken.

6. Bartholin's glands: They are located on both sides of the vaginal opening just below the vestibule, opening at the intersection of the middle and lower thirds of the inner side of the labia minora. They secrete mucus to lubricate the vagina during sexual excitement. When inflamed, their branches turn red. If the gland ducts are blocked, cysts or abscesses may form.

7. The perineum is a section of soft tissue between the vaginal opening and the anal opening, which is composed of skin, muscles and muscle fascia. The central tendon composed of the superficial and deep transverse muscles of the perineum, the bulbospongiosus muscles and the anal dilatation tendons is called the "perineal body". It is about 3 to 4 cm thick, with a relatively thick surface and a gradually tapering wedge-shaped superficial layer. The perineum is part of the pelvic floor and plays a key supporting role. The vulva is under great pressure during childbirth, and if not properly protected it may cause lacerations. If not properly treated, bladder and/or duodenal prolapse and uterine prolapse may occur in the future.
