What are the signs of a second menstrual period after menarche?

After women enter puberty and their bodies gradually mature, every woman will have menstruation. Generally speaking, the first menstruation is usually called menarche. When the second menstruation comes, the body will actually show some signs. We can usually judge whether the second menstruation is coming through these physical signs, but few girls understand these signs.

Signs of a second menarche after menarche

Some girls will experience a series of symptoms before their period, such as fatigue, irritability, depression, drowsiness, and even crying or anger for no reason. In severe cases, the patient is unwilling to talk to parents and friends and becomes so withdrawn that he or she becomes bedridden. It is often accompanied by breast tenderness, lower abdominal distension and constipation. Some people also experience edema 1-3 days before menstruation, especially swollen fingers in the morning and swelling of lower limbs in the afternoon. Some others also have symptoms such as inattention, forgetfulness, difficulty in judgment, uncoordinated movements, headache, feeling uncomfortable, etc. before menstruation.

These symptoms will disappear after menstruation comes, but these symptoms do not appear in the same person at the same time. Generally, a person will only have 1-2 of them.

Girls who have a delayed second menstruation should not worry. It is normal to have the second period every two to three months, or even half a year. Girls should not be nervous when they have their period. Just maintain good living habits, pay attention to the hygiene of private parts, adjust your work and rest time and try not to stay up late while waiting for your period, and there will be no major problems.

When will the second menstrual period come after menarche?

Girls' menarche usually occurs between the ages of 10 and 16, and normal menstruation is every 28 to 30 days. After menarche, the ovaries are still immature and their weight is only 40% of that of mature ones. The ovaries continue to develop afterwards. Because the ovarian function and regulatory function are still unstable, the second menstruation usually does not arrive on time. Some women have their period 2-3 months after their first menstruation, and some even have their second menstruation after half a year. These are all normal phenomena.

Generally, a regular menstrual cycle will be formed about 2 years after menarche. If the menstrual period is still irregular 2 years after menarche, you need to see a doctor to confirm the cause.
