When do girls grow pubic hair?

Development of female pubic hair: Pubic hair is one of the signs of sexual development, generally coinciding with the beginning of breast development, followed by menstruation. Its growth can be divided into five stages:

Stage 1: Before the age of 11, there is no pubic hair growth, only fine hairs are seen on the mons pubis, which are light in color and are called childish type

The second stage: 11-12 years old, pubic hair begins to grow under the stimulation of sex hormones, first on the labia majora, then on the mons pubis, with light-colored, sparse, soft, and straight pubic hair

The third stage: 12-13 years old, the pubic hair becomes darker, denser, harder, thicker, longer, and curled, covering the pubic triangle;

Stage 4: 13-14 years old, the hair continues to grow thicker and looks like an adult woman. The upper limit is mostly limited to the pubic area and has not yet spread to the inner thighs. It no longer expands upwards.

The fifth stage: 14-15 years old, the pubic hair is dense and spreads widely, covering the entire vulva, covering the labia majora along the pubic bone, meeting at the anus, and reaching the inner thighs, showing the typical pubic hair of adult women. Armpit hair appears later and is usually the last to appear in the process of the development of secondary sexual characteristics of women. Most of them will not grow until after the age of 17.

For adolescent girls around the age of 13 to 15, pubic hair appears, menstruation begins, and breasts enlarge. These are all normal physiological phenomena, but due to different individual physical conditions, the timing of growth and development varies from person to person. It is recommended to pay attention to rest, eat a reasonable diet, have a balanced nutrition, and increase physical exercise appropriately.

Puberty is the second peak of growth and development. Ensure your child has adequate nutrition and gets more exercise
