Do I need to stay in bed after hysteroscopy?

Do I need to stay in bed after hysteroscopy?

Hysteroscopic operating room is a common minimally invasive surgery in clinical practice. This type of surgery is mainly used to treat some endometrial diseases, such as uterine polyps, etc. Some people also use hysteroscopy for examination. Because hysteroscopic surgery still has an impact on women's bodies, recovery and rest after the operation are also very important. So do women need to stay in confinement after undergoing hysteroscopy?

1. Hysteroscopic surgery generally does not require confinement. It is mainly used to treat endometrial polyps, endometrial adhesions and other diseases. As long as you can't take a bath or have sexual hygiene within one month after the operation, and pay attention to the dryness and hygiene of the vulva to avoid infection; take motherwort granules appropriately, which can promote blood circulation, remove blood stasis and regulate menstruation, and promote the recovery of the endometrium; cooperate with the treatment of taking anti-inflammatory drugs to avoid infection in the later stage; pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue that may cause increased bleeding after surgery.

2. There is no need to take a confinement month after hysteroscopy. If you are only doing a hysteroscopy, it is generally recommended to rest for half an hour to an hour after the examination and then resume normal activities. However, it is best not to do heavy work. Generally, you can return to a normal life in 2-3 days. However, if you have undergone hysteroscopic surgery, such as surgery for intrauterine adhesions, separations, or some intrauterine endometrial polyps, it does not mean that you must observe the confinement period, but you must pay more attention to rest and not overwork yourself. Also, you must eat less spicy food, drink more water, and eat more high-protein foods, such as fish, lean meat, lamb, etc., which will all be helpful.

3. Although there is no need to take a confinement month for a hysteroscopic examination, both hysteroscopic examination and surgery involve entering the uterine cavity. You should also pay special attention to your diet, eat less spicy, irritating, and cold foods, pay more attention to rest, and avoid excessive fatigue. Sexual intercourse is prohibited for one month after hysteroscopy. You can take a shower, but avoid sitting baths and tub baths to avoid uterine cavity infection. After the operation, you can use some antibiotics for anti-inflammatory symptomatic treatment according to your physical condition.
