What are the symptoms when you are pregnant?

Every woman has different symptoms when she first becomes pregnant. The most obvious is delayed menstruation. Women with more severe reactions cannot smell certain odors and experience nausea. For women who are pregnant for the first time, it is usually not discovered until one or two months later. Because many women now have irregular menstrual cycles and lack experience, they will definitely ignore some detailed reactions. There is still a certain risk for women who have just become pregnant.

What are the symptoms of pregnancy:

1: Breasts become larger and more sensitive

One of the early signs of pregnancy is tender, sore breasts, which is caused by your increased hormone levels. This bloating and cramping feeling is very similar to what you feel before your period, only more intense. This pregnancy sign will improve significantly after you are 3 months pregnant, by which time your body will have adapted to the hormonal changes during pregnancy.

2. Tiredness

You may suddenly feel tired or even exhausted. No one knows exactly what causes fatigue symptoms in early pregnancy, but rapidly increasing levels of progesterone may make you feel extra sleepy.

Once you reach the second trimester, you'll start to feel more energetic than in the first trimester, but fatigue usually returns by the third trimester. This is because your weight will increase significantly during this time, and the common discomforts of pregnancy will also affect the quality of your sleep at night.

3: Nausea, vomiting, poor appetite

Nausea and vomiting are common symptoms of pregnancy. If you're like most women, morning sickness won't start until about a month after you conceive. A lucky few women go their entire pregnancy without experiencing morning sickness. However, some women will start to feel nauseous before this. Morning sickness doesn’t just happen in the morning, it can also happen at noon or at night.

Almost half of women who experience morning sickness no longer experience nausea and vomiting after the second trimester. Most other women may need to wait about another month before their morning sickness symptoms are alleviated.

4: Sensitive to smell

If you suddenly become very sensitive to smells, you can also ask yourself, "Am I pregnant?" If you are newly pregnant, you may not be able to stand the smell of cooking fumes or tea leaves, and some fragrances may even make you nauseous. Although no one knows for sure, this sign of pregnancy may be caused by a surge in estrogen in your body. You may also find that foods that you normally love to eat suddenly make you feel sick.

5. Abdominal bloating

Hormonal changes in early pregnancy may cause you to feel bloated. Some women also experience this feeling before their period. This is why clothes may feel tight around the waist in early pregnancy when your uterus is still small.

6. Frequent urination

Soon after you become pregnant, you may find yourself running to the bathroom all the time. Why does this happen? Mainly because during pregnancy, the amount of blood and other fluids in your body increases, resulting in more fluid being processed by the kidneys and discharged into the bladder as urine.

Frequent urination may begin as early as 6 weeks of pregnancy. As your pregnancy progresses, your growing baby will put more pressure on your bladder, and the frequent urination symptoms in early pregnancy may continue or even become more severe.

7. Delayed menstruation

Are you pregnant if you missed your period? If your menstrual period has always been regular, but this time your period did not come on time, you may have done an early pregnancy self-test before you noticed the above pregnancy signs. But if your periods are irregular or you don't remember your periods, early signs of pregnancy like nausea, breast tenderness, and frequent bathroom breaks may indicate you're pregnant before you realize you're missing your period.

8. Basal body temperature remains high

If you track your basal body temperature and find that it is high for 18 consecutive days, you are likely pregnant.

9: Implantation Bleeding

Early signs of pregnancy may also include light vaginal bleeding. Some women experience light vaginal bleeding around day 11-12 after conception, around the time you notice you've missed your period. This vaginal bleeding may be caused by the fertilized egg implanting in the blood-rich endometrium, a process that begins about 6 days after fertilization.

Implantation bleeding is very light bleeding that appears as some red blood spots, or pink or reddish-brown stains, and lasts for about a day or two. However, if you notice that the amount of bleeding is heavier than this, especially if it is accompanied by pain, you must go to the hospital for treatment, as this may be a sign of ectopic pregnancy.

:10: Early pregnancy self-test is positive

Compared with the previous nine methods, a positive result of early pregnancy test should be a more certain sign of pregnancy. But despite what the packaging says, many pregnancy self-tests only detect most pregnancies a week after a woman has missed her period. So, if you were tested before this and got a negative result, you can test again in a few days. If the self-test result is positive, you must go to the hospital for further examination.
