Why does it hurt when I breathe in my breasts?

In life, if women experience breast pain when inhaling, it may be due to breast hyperplasia or inflammation of the mammary ducts. Therefore, in the case of breast pain when inhaling, women should go to the hospital for a CT scan and treat breast diseases in time, otherwise it will affect future fertility. The process of inhaling will affect many organs in the body, and the breasts are just above the lungs, which is more likely to cause breast pain.

If one side of your breast hurts when you breathe, there are two possibilities. One is breast hyperplasia, which is the most common cause. Breast hyperplasia causes the local breast tissue to thicken or form nodules, especially the deep tissue of the breast gland. When breathing, the movement of the chest respiratory muscles stimulates the hyperplasia area, causing pain. Symptoms of breast hyperplasia may occur on one side or on both sides. The second is chronic inflammation of the mammary ducts. Male inflammation of the mammary ducts in adult women, such as plasma cell mastitis, can produce this painful symptom.

What causes breast pain?

1. Caused by menstruation

For women with breast pain, it is best to first determine whether their menstruation has come, because many women will experience breast pain when their menstruation comes. This is because when a woman is menstruating, the estrogen in her body exceeds the normal level, which will stimulate her breasts and cause her to experience breast pain. For women with this symptom, no treatment is needed. They only need to take good care measures during menstruation.

2. Pregnancy

Pregnant women may also experience breast pain. This is because when a woman is pregnant, the levels of estrogen and progesterone in her body will increase, which will stimulate the breast area and cause the breasts to enlarge. When this happens, women will basically experience breast pain. However, after the pregnant woman has smoothly passed the breastfeeding period, this feeling of distension and pain in the chest will disappear.

3. Mastitis

Women with mastitis may also experience breast pain, which is most obvious when touching the breasts. For women with breast pain, they must pay attention to the hygiene of the breast area, because if the cleanliness of this area is too low, it is likely to cause bacterial infection, which will aggravate the symptoms of the female breast area. In addition, patients with mastitis should seek treatment in a timely manner to reduce their discomfort.

4. Breast cancer

Breast cancer patients may also experience breast pain, along with nausea and chest tightness. It is best for breast cancer patients to go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible, so that the spread of cancer cells can be controlled and the patient can have a chance to be cured. The general treatment for breast cancer is resection surgery, and patients should take good care of themselves after the surgery.

In short, for women who have breast pain, if they want to determine what factors caused it, they can make a judgment based on the above 4 points. No matter what factors cause the pain, women should not take painkillers blindly. After all, taking too much medicine can cause damage to the human body.
