Are there any hair dyes specifically for pregnant women?

After pregnancy, many pregnant mothers pay close attention to their daily diet and lifestyle habits. Because many things can affect the fetus in the womb. So, can pregnant mothers dye their hair? In fact, it is not recommended. Although there are some plant-based hair dyes specifically for pregnant women on the market, in order to avoid accidents, it is still recommended that pregnant mothers be patient and not dye their hair.

Hair dye is a cosmetic used to color hair. Hair dyes are divided into temporary, semi-permanent and permanent hair dyes. Hair dyes generally contain the carcinogen p-phenylenediamine. Experts say that p-phenylenediamine is a colorant that must be used in hair dyes and is an internationally recognized carcinogen.

Hair dye comes into contact with the skin and is heated during the dyeing process, causing benzene-like organic substances to enter the capillaries through the scalp and then reach the bone marrow through the blood circulation. Long-term and repeated actions on hematopoietic stem cells cause the malignant transformation of hematopoietic stem cells and lead to the occurrence of leukemia. One of the reasons why hair dye can cause skin allergies, leukemia and other diseases is that it contains a chemical called paraphenylenediamine.

There are many varieties of hair dyes on the market. Some products even claim to be "pure Chinese herbal preparations", "non-toxic and side effects, and do not contain hair dyes", and "pure natural plant essences, safe and healthy for treating gray hair". They all claim to be able to dye hair quickly. Many people with gray hair are rushing to buy and use them, which has led to many complaints.

Do not dye your hair more than twice a year. Patients with high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma and other diseases should not dye their hair. In addition, couples preparing to have children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women are also not suitable for dyeing their hair.

In addition, the use of hair dyes can disrupt the body's immune function and cause lupus erythematosus. Some hair dyes can also cause allergic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, etc. Based on this, scientists warn people to use hair dye with caution.
