What to do if you have menstrual cramps

Menstruation is a physiological cycle of women. Menstruation occurs every month. Most women will experience physical discomfort during menstruation. Some women will experience dysmenorrhea. Generally speaking, after dysmenorrhea, it is best to pay more attention to rest and try not to overwork. However, some women have more severe dysmenorrhea, which has a great impact on their daily life. What should we do when dysmenorrhea occurs?

What to do if you have abdominal pain?

Method 1: hot compress. When suffering from dysmenorrhea, patients can put a hot water bottle on their lower abdomen, or lie on the bed with a heating blanket under their body to warm it up, which can relieve dysmenorrhea. Hot compress has the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. It can warm the uterus and promote blood circulation in the abdomen; effectively relieve or alleviate abdominal pain and lumbar pain during menstruation in women. This method is simple to operate and has excellent results.

Method 2: Acupressure. The human foot contains a number of acupressure points that connect to the pelvic qi pathways. Use your thumbs and fingertips to gently massage the depressions on both sides of your ankles from the Achilles tendon upwards to the calf muscles, applying pressure for several minutes each time. This can relieve women's menstrual pain.

Method three, milk therapy. Yogurt or milk contains a lot of calcium. Calcium has the function of stabilizing nerves and promoting the balance of ions in the body. During a woman's menstrual period, the muscles of the uterus contract excessively, which can cause pain. Therefore, drinking more yogurt or milk can effectively relieve menstrual pain.

Method 4: Tea therapy. Drinking tea made from chrysanthemum, raspberry, cinnamon and bark is very effective in relieving menstrual cramps. Patients can also drink more pineapple juice. Because pineapple contains bromelain, it can relax the body's muscles and relieve menstrual pain.

Method five: diet therapy. Egg, angelica and ginger soup. Prepare the following ingredients: 1 egg, 15 grams of angelica, 5 grams of dried ginger, 15 grams of red dates (pitted), 5 grams of tangerine peel, and 20 milliliters of rice wine. Add angelica, dried ginger and tangerine peel to water and boil for 30 minutes. Remove the residue, beat the eggs and add rice wine and red dates to the juice. Continue boiling until the red dates are rotten. Drink the soup and eat the eggs and dates. This tonic prescription is mainly used to treat dysmenorrhea and weak Qi and blood.
