Lump under the breast

Lump under the breast

I believe that many women have realized the harm that breast cancer brings to the body, so female friends are paying more and more attention to breast health issues. In the early stages of breast cancer, there is often a lump inside the breast, which has the potential to turn into cancer. Therefore, female friends will be very worried if they find a lump on their breasts. If a woman finds a lump under her breast, what should she consider?

The following are some of the causes of breast lumps:

1. Breast fibroadenoma: It is the most common benign breast tumor, which is prone to occur in young women in one or both breasts. Most of them are solitary, and a few are multiple. The tumor is round or oval, grows slowly, has a smooth surface, a flexible texture, and obvious boundaries. The tumor is easy to be pushed and has no adhesion to the skin.

2. Breast cancer: It is the most common malignant tumor. In the early stage, it is a painless solitary lump that grows fast, has a rough surface, a hard texture, unclear boundaries, and is difficult to move. When the lump grows larger, it adheres to the skin, and the skin dimple sign and orange peel sign may appear. It can cause the nipple to retract, the breast to contract and be fixed to the chest wall, or even ulcerate, with pus and blood or continuous bleeding. It can also metastasize to the axillary and supraclavicular lymph nodes, and to distant organs.

3. Breast hyperplasia: The lumps are irregular in shape, appearing in the form of flakes, nodules or cords, with unclear boundaries and no adhesion to the skin. They increase or decrease with the menstrual cycle and are often accompanied by breast tenderness or tingling.

Technical advantages of minimally invasive breast excision

1. Precise positioning and accurate removal of lesions: The entire operation is performed under the guidance and monitoring of high-resolution ultrasound. Especially for tiny tumors (as small as 3 mm) that could be detected by ultrasound in the past but could not be felt by clinical doctors during physical examinations, due to limited technical levels, these tumors could only be observed and surgery could be performed after they grew larger, or large-scale resection could be performed. The accuracy of minimally invasive surgery can be guaranteed to the greatest extent.

2. The incision is tiny and the cosmetic effect is good: Compared with the 3-5 cm incision of traditional surgery, the incision of minimally invasive surgery is only 2 mm, which is difficult to detect. Moreover, multiple tumors on the same breast can be removed through one incision.

3. Small tissue damage and fast recovery: It avoids cutting the skin, subcutaneous tissue and normal glands. The advantages are particularly obvious for patients with deep breast tumors and obesity.

4. Short operation time and short hospitalization time: Generally, it only takes 10-15 minutes to remove a single tumor, and you can move freely after the operation.

5. Low incision infection rate: The use of electrocoagulation to stop bleeding in conventional surgical incisions can easily cause fat liquefaction, and surgical sutures remain in the incision as foreign bodies, both of which are risk factors for incision infection and poor healing. Minimally invasive breast-conserving surgery causes little damage to normal tissues, leaves no foreign matter in the human body, and significantly reduces the risk of infection.

Through the detailed introduction, I believe you already know the reason why there is a lump in the breast. So after understanding the reason, in order to prevent this situation from affecting the health of your breast, you must go to a large hospital as soon as possible and undergo a minimally invasive breast resection surgery to allow your breast to recover as soon as possible.
