Mild vaginitis

Mild vaginitis

Vaginitis is a disease that is difficult to describe. First, it appears in a very special part. People are ashamed to speak up and are unwilling to tell people around them. Even if they go to the hospital for examination, they need to expose this part to the doctor. Not only do they need to let others see it, but they also need to extract secretions for testing and observation. This will make people feel very embarrassed. Our thoughts and ideas are very conservative. What should we do with mild vaginitis?

Trichomonas vaginitis

It is caused by the pathogen Trichomonas vaginalis, and is transmitted through sexual intercourse or indirectly (through bathtubs, tubs, swimming pools, clothing, dressings and contaminated equipment, etc.). The main symptoms are vulvar itching, increased leucorrhea, which is light yellow and foamy. In severe cases, the leucorrhea may be mixed with blood. There is also a burning sensation and pain during sexual intercourse. When accompanied by a urethral infection, there may be frequent urination, painful urination, and even hematuria.

Medication method: Treatment usually includes oral administration of metronidazole and placement of metronidazole suppository into the vagina. A course of treatment is 7-10 days for 3 consecutive months. The vulva can be rinsed with 1% lactic acid solution. The husband should also receive treatment at the same time and should abstain from sexual intercourse during treatment. In addition, patients should pay attention to personal hygiene and avoid unclean sexual intercourse and cross infection.

Fungal vaginitis

It is caused by the pathogen Candida albicans, and often occurs in women who use hormones and antibiotics for a long time, diabetics and pregnant women. The main routes of transmission are sexual intercourse, baths, bath towels, etc. The main symptoms are tofu-like leucorrhea and vulvar itching.

Medication method: You can take Diflucan 150 mg orally, Canesten vaginally, or use nystatin suppository into the vagina for treatment. Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment, change underwear frequently, and wash utensils with boiling water.

Gardnerella vaginitis

It is caused by the pathogen, Gardnerella vaginitis, and can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Gardnerella vaginitis has a high prevalence among people with promiscuous sexual relations. Infections caused by Gardnerella are more common in sexually active women. In the acute phase, the amount of leucorrhea increases, and it has a fishy or ammonia odor. The vulva becomes damp and uncomfortable, often accompanied by a burning sensation in the vagina, pain during sexual intercourse, and itching of the vulva.

Medication: To treat this type of vaginal inflammation, tetracycline and sulfathiazole can be made into suppositories and inserted deep into the vagina once a night for 10 days; metronidazole and ampicillin can also be taken orally. For patients with systemic infection, ampicillin or chloramphenicol can be given intravenously.

Gonorrheal vaginitis

It is caused by the pathogen Neisseria gonorrhoeae and can be transmitted through unclean or promiscuous sexual intercourse. There are also a few cases of indirect transmission through wearing swimsuits infected with gonococci or through bathtubs, toilets, etc. contaminated with gonococci. Its symptoms include lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, purulent leucorrhea, redness, swelling and pain at the vaginal opening, etc. If not treated in time, it may turn into chronic gynecological inflammation. 10% to 20% of women may experience infertility or ectopic pregnancy.

Medication method: Ceftriaxone and spectinomycin are injected intramuscularly for 10 consecutive days. At the same time, you can choose 100 grams of willow leaves, 15 grams of atractylodes, 15 grams of coptis, 15 grams of phellodendron, 20 grams of Patrinia monnieri, 15 grams of Cnidium monnieri, 30 grams of Pulsatilla striata, 30 grams of Sophora flavescens, and 15 grams of Kochia scoparia, and decocted them in water. Wash the vulva while it is warm, 1 to 2 times a day. One course of treatment is 7 days. Generally, recovery can be achieved in 1 to 2 courses of treatment.

Vaginitis in young girls

It is more common in little girls wearing open-crotch pants. The cause of the disease is that girls sit or crawl on the ground while playing, or stick their fingers directly into the vagina, or even place foreign objects, causing contamination of the vulva and vagina and inducing vaginitis. The main symptoms are redness and swelling of the vulva, watery discharge from the vagina, and vaginal burning or unbearable pain.

How to use the medicine: To treat vaginitis in young girls, you only need to use pepper water or Liuyi powder (containing talc and licorice) to clean the vagina and vulva, and you can get satisfactory results. To prevent problems before they happen, do not let girls wear open-crotch pants. Instead, wear loose, easy-to-remove closed-crotch pants. At the same time, educate girls to pay attention to hygiene, not to touch the vagina with hands or foreign objects, and clean the perineum of girls every night.
