Will the first baby be born early?

Pregnancy is a very happy thing, especially for women who are pregnant for the first time. They are generally looking forward to the birth of the baby. However, most people are inexperienced in first-time pregnancy. Especially when the delivery is approaching, they are very excited and afraid. They don’t know whether the baby will be born early, or they are afraid that if the baby is born, they don’t know what to do because they have no experience. In general, will the first child be born early?

Will the first baby come early?

The number of days of pregnancy is different for each person. Some may come earlier, while others may come later. Therefore, this is possible whether it is the first or second child. It is recommended that expectant mothers should not be anxious and should be prepared for delivery when the due date is approaching.

For first-time mothers, they will become more and more nervous as the due date approaches, not knowing when the birth will occur. The general signs before delivery include the fundus of the uterus dropping about two weeks before delivery. The expectant mother will feel relief in the upper abdomen, and secondly, pressure in the lower abdomen, frequent urination, spotting, water breaking, regular abdominal contractions, eczema, etc.

Don't panic when your water breaks. Early rupture of membranes may lead to bacterial infection or umbilical cord prolapse. Therefore, after the water breaks, no matter what the occasion, you should lie down immediately to prevent the amniotic fluid from flowing out. You can use sanitary napkins to play a protective role. If there is no sign of labor within 6 to 12 hours after water breaking, in order to prevent bacterial infection, the doctor will use oxytocin to help the pregnant mother enter the labor process and start delivery.

Signs before giving birth to first child

1. Abdominal prolapse, increased vaginal discharge, and significantly increased frequency of urination

About one to two weeks before the due date, pregnant mothers will noticeably feel that their upper abdomen becomes lighter and their lower abdomen becomes heavier, as if the baby is about to fall out. This is a sign that the baby is about to be born. However, there is still about half a month before the baby is born, so pregnant mothers don’t need to worry too much, just wait patiently for the baby to be born. At this time, pregnant mothers will obviously feel that the frequency of urination has increased and the vaginal secretions have also increased.

2. Regular uterine contractions. If the uterine contractions show the following conditions, it indicates that labor is imminent. Regular, and the time intervals are getting shorter and shorter. Generally, it should be 20 to 30 minutes at the beginning, and the uterine contraction is about 20 to 30 seconds. Then the interval between uterine contractions gradually shortens to about 5-6 minutes.

3. Seeing blood. Generally, 24 to 48 hours before delivery, the cervix begins to dilate slightly. The fetal membrane of the appendages will separate from the uterine wall and the capillaries will rupture. A small amount of blood is discharged through the vagina and mixed with the mucus in the cervical canal. This bloody discharge from the vagina is what we commonly call spotting.
