How to read the results of ovulation test strips

How to read the results of ovulation test strips

When female friends are preparing for pregnancy, most of them often use ovulation test strips. The ovulation test strip is used to obtain the result by dropping a drop of female urine into the control area and then observing the reaction in the adjacent area. The urine to be tested cannot be morning urine, and excessive drinking water is not allowed to prevent dilution of the urine being tested. Ovulation test strips generally have three types of results: negative results, positive results and invalid results. How do you read the results of ovulation test strips?

How to read the results of ovulation test strips?

Negative result: If a red stripe or test line appears in the control line area. The appearance of a red strip, which is the same color as the control line and the test line, indicates no ovulation. The appearance of two red strips, with the test line significantly smaller than the control line, indicates that the LH level in the urine has not yet reached its peak. When there is no result in the ovulation test, it is important to insist on testing every day.

Positive result: Two colored bands appear and the test line is equal to or darker than the control line. It will show the LH peak, which means ovulation will occur within 24-48 hours, so you can prepare for sexual intercourse.

Invalid result: When no colored strip appears in the control line area of the ovulation test paper, it indicates that the test has failed. You can repeat the test to get a more accurate result. In addition, you should also pay attention to the expiration date of the ovulation test paper when purchasing. If you use expired products, it will affect the results of the test. In addition, you can check the instructions for cleaning before use, and follow the instructions for better testing to better prepare for pregnancy.

How to use ovulation test strips and precautions

When using the test strip, you should: 1. Collect urine in a clean, dry container. Do not use morning urine. The best time to collect urine is from 10 am to 8 pm. Try to use urine samples at the same time every day. Reduce water intake 2 hours before collecting urine because diluted urine samples will hinder the detection of LH peak.

2. Dip the end of the test strip with the arrow mark into the urine, take it out after about three seconds and lay it flat. Observe the result for 10-20 minutes. The result shall be read within 30 minutes!

3. The depth of the test paper inserted into the urine should not exceed the MAX mark line.

Note: 1. Ovulation test strips are for one-time use only for in vitro testing. 2. The sealed aluminum foil bag of the ovulation test strip can only be opened before testing, and it should be used as soon as possible within 1 hour after opening the original packaging. 3. Not every woman ovulates during the middle of her cycle, so a positive result may not appear during the 5-day test. 4. The changes in the color of the test line during the test should be observed and recorded. If the test result is negative but the color of the test line begins to decrease, it can be regarded as the LH peak. 5. Too dilute urine will result in too low LH concentration in urine, and the LH concentration in urine lacks representativeness, so it is not advisable to drink too much water or other beverages before the test. 6. The reaction results of the ovulation test strip should be observed within the specified time, and the results will be invalid after 30 minutes. 7. Do not allow the test paper to get damp or touch the reaction membrane before use. Please close the can lid immediately after taking out the canned test paper. 8. It should be used within the validity period and do not use after the expiration date. 9. Read the instructions carefully before starting the test and follow each step accurately; do not take any medicines such as hormones that may affect the test results. When you avoid these situations, the ovulation test paper will be more accurate.
