Pregnant woman feels uncomfortable in the stomach after eating

Many women do not gain weight during pregnancy due to eating too much, but instead become thinner. This usually happens because women vomit after eating and spit out all the food. Although some women do not vomit uncontrollably, it is common for pregnant women to feel stomach discomfort after eating. What should they do in this situation? Let's find out together.

1. What to do if you feel nauseous, vomit, or have stomach discomfort during pregnancy

Some friends often experience nausea, stomach discomfort, and sometimes loss of appetite. These problems may bother everyone. There are some quick ways to relieve nausea that can help us.

First of all, to reduce the occurrence of nausea, expectant mothers need to eat small meals frequently and not eat too much, so as to avoid abdominal distension and food flowing back into the mouth. If we eat too little, we may feel hungry, so we can eat more meals. Normal people eat three meals a day, while pregnant women should eat small and frequent meals, four or five meals a day, to reduce the burden on the stomach and intestines as much as possible. In addition, friends who often suffer from nausea can eat more dry steamed buns, because dry steamed buns are baked and have very little moisture left. The starch in the dry steamed buns has changed and become dextrin, which is easier for the human body to digest. When these dry steamed buns are eaten, the gastric acid in the stomach is neutralized by the steamed buns, which can reduce its corrosiveness and irritation to the stomach, making pregnant women feel no more stomach pain.

Eating sour food appropriately can also relieve the symptoms of nausea in early pregnancy. There is no need to deliberately restrict your diet because of pregnancy. As long as the food can stimulate the appetite of the expectant mother, you can consume it appropriately. Even if it is spicy, you can eat a little if you really want to eat it.

In addition, patients who often suffer from nausea should avoid eating cold, hard or greasy foods, celery, fried eggs, etc., so as not to irritate the stomach and cause discomfort. Also, don't eat food that is too hot, because overheated food may cause the blood vessels in the stomach to dilate and cause bleeding. Eat more easily digestible foods, such as porridge, milk, and pasta to protect our stomachs.

2. What should you not eat during pregnancy?

It contains two parts: one is the general principles of diet to be paid attention to during normal pregnancy, and the other is the diet taboos for some common diseases during pregnancy. Especially the most common pregnancy diseases, such as nausea and vomiting during pregnancy (i.e. pregnancy reaction), fetal movement disorder and fetal bleeding (i.e. threatened abortion and habitual abortion), pregnancy edema, etc. For less common pregnancy diseases, such as epilepsy, fetal cough, fetal restlessness, fetal suspension, and uterine obstruction in traditional Chinese medicine, as well as hematuria, enuresis, dysentery, malaria, and hiccups during pregnancy, you can refer to the general do's and don'ts principles of pregnancy.

Principles of do's and don'ts: After a normal pregnancy, women should eat high-protein, multi-vitamin, multi-fiber and low-salt foods due to physiological needs, and avoid high-fat and overly salty foods; they should eat easily digestible rich and juicy foods, and avoid raw, cold or cold foods; they should eat fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoid spicy and irritating foods, or foods with fishy smells, or greasy and sticky foods, or foods that are fried and hot, or foods that help fire and damage yin; they should avoid tobacco and alcohol, especially strong liquor.

You should not eat cold foods such as hawthorn and crab, and you should not eat foods that promote blood circulation, such as musk, safflower, saffron, donkey-hide gelatin, etc. In addition, try not to eat some daily condiments, such as MSG, chicken essence, pepper, aniseed and other irritating things.
