How to remove dampness and heat during pregnancy

Many pregnant women will always feel dampness and heat in the second trimester, especially at night when the feeling of dampness and heat will become stronger, thus affecting their sleep quality and easily causing miscarriage. Therefore, they need to be cared for through daily life. There are many foods that can be used to remove dampness and heat from the body, including lotus seeds, longan, yam and other ingredients.

1. Daily health care

Damp-heat syndrome exists because heat often attaches to dampness, so attention should be paid to improving the living environment and regulating the diet. It is not advisable to overeat or drink alcohol, and eat less greasy food and sweets to maintain good digestive function and avoid internal retention of dampness or entry of dampness from the outside. This is the key to preventing damp-heat. In terms of diet, eat less sweets, sweet drinks, spicy foods, and drink less alcohol (which have the greatest dampness and heat properties). Eat less fatty and sweet foods. Eat a light diet to remove dampness. Especially quit smoking and drinking. Eat more foods that can remove dampness. Eat more foods that can remove dampness, such as mung beans, winter melon, loofah, red beans, watermelon, green tea, scented tea, etc.

(1) Ingredients: pigeon, yam, poria, wolfberry, longan, lotus seed, red date, coix seed. Method: Simmer over medium heat for 3 hours. Efficacy: Nourishes the heart, strengthens the spleen, tonifies the kidneys, replenishes qi, and removes dampness. 2. Diet therapy

(2) Ingredients: Isatis root, pork tendon, 1 slice of ginger, and half a candied date. Method: Clean the pork tendon (the meat from the front calf of the pig) and cut it into large slices. Rinse the isatis root slices with water, then put all the ingredients into a stewing pot, stew over high heat for 3 hours, keep warm until drinking, and then add salt to taste.

(3) Ingredients: Chinese yam, water snake, two red dates, and one slice of ginger. Method: Cut the water snake into sections, wash it, and blanch it (boil it in hot water for a while) for later use. Then peel and slice the wild yam. Then put the red dates, ginger slices, water snake segments and wild yam slices into the stewing pot, stew over high heat for 3 hours, and add salt to taste when drinking.

(4) Ingredients: fresh mulberry leaves, pork tendon, half a candied date, and 2 slices of ginger. Method: Wash the pork shank and cut into large slices. Rinse the fresh mulberry leaves with water, then put all the ingredients into a stewing pot, stew over high heat for 3 hours, and add salt to taste when drinking.

Ingredients: 1 carp, fresh bamboo shoots, watermelon rind, black-eyed peas, ginger and red dates in appropriate amounts. Features: Removes dampness and reduces turbidity, strengthens the spleen and promotes diuresis. It is suitable for patients with symptoms of heaviness, drowsiness, and scanty urination, as well as hypertension with symptoms of damp-heat and spleen deficiency. Bamboo shoots are a low-fat, low-sugar, high-fiber food that promotes intestinal motility, aids digestion, prevents and treats constipation, and also has anti-cancer effects.

(4) Preparation: Peel off the hard shell of bamboo shoots, peel off the old skin, slice them horizontally, and soak them in water for 1 day; remove the gills and internal organs of the carp, but do not remove the scales, wash and fry them briefly until they turn yellow; wash the black-eyed peas, watermelon rind, ginger, and red dates (pitted). Put all the ingredients into a pot of boiling water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer for 2 hours, add salt to taste and serve.
