Mammography

Mammography

Many female friends will suffer from gynecological diseases at a certain age. A series of other diseases caused by gynecological diseases are also increasing year by year, and breast hyperplasia is a more representative disease. Breast mammography is usually used for examination in hospitals. It is a more authoritative and scientific treatment method, and the effect is very obvious. It can directly see the health of the breast and provide targeted treatment.

Mammography, whose full name is breast mammography X-ray examination, also known as molybdenum-palladium examination, is currently the preferred, simplest and most reliable non-invasive detection method for diagnosing breast diseases. It is relatively less painful, simple and easy to perform, with high resolution and good repeatability. The images retained can be used for before-and-after comparison, and are not restricted by age or body shape. It is currently used as a routine examination. Its characteristic is that it can detect breast lumps that doctors cannot feel, especially for large breasts and fatty breasts. Its diagnostic accuracy can be as high as 95%. For T0 breast cancer (clinical outpatient negative) with a few tiny calcifications as the only manifestation, it can only be discovered and diagnosed early with the help of soft X-ray examinations. The diagnostic sensitivity of breast cancer is 82% to 89%, and the specificity is 87% to 94%.

1. It can be used as a relatively non-invasive examination method, which can comprehensively and correctly reflect the gross anatomical structure of the entire breast;

2. X-ray examination can be used to observe the effects of various physiological factors (such as menstrual cycle, pregnancy, lactation, menstruation and endocrine changes, etc.) on breast structure, and dynamic observation can be performed;

3. It can reliably distinguish benign breast lesions and malignant tumors;

4. X-ray examination can reveal certain precancerous lesions, and follow-up radiographs can be performed;

5. Conduct follow-up examinations on the pathological changes of breast cancer patients after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, observe the therapeutic effects, and conduct regular monitoring of the healthy breast.

Mammographic X-ray examination is comprehensive, intuitive, easy to operate, safe and relatively inexpensive. It has become one of the best methods for routine clinical examination of breast cancer and breast cancer prevention screening, and contributes to the detection of early cancer, improving the diagnostic consistency of breast lesions and the survival rate of patients.
