White foam during pregnancy

White foam during pregnancy

In fact, many people will always experience nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, but these symptoms are actually normal and there is no need to worry too much. However, for many expectant mothers, they will encounter eclampsia during pregnancy. In the early stages, they will foam at the mouth and suddenly faint. This is particularly serious and may affect the baby's health and even cause complications to the fetus. You must have a correct understanding and knowledge of this and choose the appropriate method of treatment.

What is preeclampsia?

Preeclampsia refers to a disease in which high blood pressure and proteinuria during pregnancy cause damage to the body's organs. It is the second leading cause of death among pregnant women worldwide to date.

Preeclampsia is divided into mild preeclampsia and severe preeclampsia.

1. Mild preeclampsia: systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg occurring after 20 weeks of pregnancy, accompanied by proteinuria.

2. Severe preeclampsia: blood pressure and urine protein continue to rise, heart, lung, liver, kidney, brain dysfunction or fetal complications.

What are the risks of preeclampsia?

Pregnant women with preeclampsia may suffer from life-threatening complications such as heart failure, cerebral hemorrhage, renal failure, postpartum hemorrhage, retinal detachment, blindness, etc.; the fetus may suffer from intrauterine growth retardation, placental abruption, premature birth, or even fetal stillbirth.

How to prevent preeclampsia?

The key to preventing eclampsia is to take good care of yourself during pregnancy. If a pregnant mother has symptoms of high blood pressure, proteinuria, or edema, she must not delay and must seek medical treatment in time. If she experiences dizziness, headache, or vision changes, she must be hospitalized for observation and treatment for the sake of her own health and that of the fetus.

Every autumn and winter, pregnant women with preeclampsia are hospitalized in droves, beds are in short supply, and ECG monitoring machines cannot be operated. Therefore, Bangma kindly reminds all pregnant mothers that no matter whether you are expecting your first or second child, you should always pay attention to your blood pressure and urine. Do not let high blood pressure and urine protein ruin your pregnancy.
