Symptoms of poor corpus luteum function

Symptoms of poor corpus luteum function

The day before a woman's ovulation is called the luteal phase. During the luteal phase, the luteal function of a woman is also very critical, because the main function of the luteal phase is to help the fertilized egg of a woman to implant. If there is a problem with the luteal function, women are prone to infertility. Even if the fertilized egg can implant, it is easy to cause habitual miscarriage. So what are the manifestations of poor luteal function?

1. Insufficient secretion of progesterone leads to shortened menstrual cycle.

2. Often a small amount of red vaginal discharge occurs a few days before menstruation, and then menstruation officially comes.

3. Although the basal body temperature is biphasic, it rises or falls in a step-like manner, and the luteal phase is shortened to 10-12 days.

4. If pregnant, most patients will have early miscarriage, and a few patients will have infertility.

5. Insufficient corpus luteum leads to insufficient duration of high temperature. For example, the high temperature lasts from the 14th day to the 21st day of menstruation, which only lasts for 8 days. Generally speaking, a high temperature lasting less than 12 days indicates luteal insufficiency.

But there are some women who suffer from luteal insufficiency but have normal menstrual cycles, prolonged menstruation, and secrete brown discharge on those days when there is such discharge in the vagina. This is because the symptoms are different for different individuals. If this situation occurs for a long time, it is likely caused by luteal insufficiency. Women with luteal insufficiency should first pay attention to personal hygiene, especially the hygiene of their private parts. In their daily diet, they should pay attention to eating more high-protein foods, ginger soup, mutton, vegetables, and fruits. In addition, they should also drink plenty of water to keep their bowel movements smooth. If women need it, they can take some medications for auxiliary treatment, but the medications must be taken under the guidance of a doctor.
