Breast nodule surgery criteria

Breast nodules in women are a very common symptom, especially before and after menstruation. If you do not pay attention to maintenance for a long time, breast nodules will form. If you gently touch the breast area with your hand, you will feel a lump inside. However, this disease is divided into two types, one is benign and the other is malignant. Both require surgical treatment, and you need to observe for a period of time after the operation. The following will introduce the surgical standards for breast nodules.

There are two types of female breast nodules, one is benign breast fibroadenoma and the other is malignant breast cancer. Whether it can be cured depends on the situation, and breast B-ultrasound and breast mammography are needed for auxiliary diagnosis. What's more, a breast nodule biopsy is needed to confirm the diagnosis. Benign breast fibroadenomas can be removed through minor surgery to prevent malignant transformation. Malignant breast cancer needs to be classified first, such as Luminal A type, Luminal B type, etc. At the same time, a systemic assessment is performed and the disease is staged according to whether there is distant metastasis, such as early, middle, and late stages, and then comprehensive treatment is given, such as surgical plans, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, endocrine, and molecular targeted therapy.

Since the breast is where the liver meridian passes, most of the small nodules on the breast are caused by stagnation of liver qi. Small nodules in the breast can be treated by soothing the liver, relieving depression and dispersing nodules. Treatment can be achieved by taking Chaihu Shugan Pills or Jiawei Xiaoyao Pills orally in combination with drugs such as Ruhe Sanjie Tablets or Ruzengning. Acupuncture can also be used to soothe the liver and regulate qi. Treatment can be carried out by needling the liver point, gallbladder point, Hegu point, Taichong point, Dazhui point, Zhiyang point, and Tanzhong point.

Breast nodules are a symptom that is common in breast hyperplasia (which can form breast cysts) and breast tumor diseases, including benign breast tumors (such as breast fibroids, phyllodes tumors, etc.) and malignant breast tumors (breast cancer).

Multiple, unilateral or bilateral, mostly in the upper quadrant. The size and texture often change cyclically with menstruation. The nodules become larger and harder before menstruation, and shrink and become softer after menstruation. During the examination, breast nodules can be felt that are irregular in size, with unclear boundaries with surrounding tissues, often tender, without adhesion to the skin and deep tissues, and able to move; breast pain is often seen in unilateral or bilateral breasts, with pain or tenderness. The duration of the disease varies, and most patients have symptoms of cyclical pain, which occurs or worsens before menstruation and eases or disappears after menstruation.
