Difficulty urinating during late pregnancy

Difficulty urinating during late pregnancy

The physical changes of pregnant women are different every day, and in severe cases, abnormal urination and defecation may occur in the late pregnancy. The fetus grows every day inside the pregnant woman's body, and the uterus often enlarges and changes. So no matter which stage of pregnancy, pregnant women should always pay attention to their physical condition. But what's the matter with difficulty urinating in the late pregnancy?

This condition is very common in late pregnancy and is generally caused by the enlarged fetus and uterus compressing the bladder and urethra. If you don't have pain when urinating and your urine isn't cloudy, then it's fine. If you have any of the above conditions, you may have a urinary tract infection. You can do a routine urine test. If the white blood cell count is high, you can take cefixime or amoxicillin for treatment. These drugs do not have much effect on the pregnant fetus.

Increased secretions

During pregnancy, the permeability of the vaginal mucosa increases and the secretion of the cervical glands increases, so the amount of leucorrhea will increase. Its function is to protect the uterus from bacterial invasion. It is normal to have clear and translucent leucorrhea. However, if you find that your leucorrhea turns brown or yellow and is accompanied by an odor and difficulty urinating, you may have a vaginal infection.

Late pregnancy discomfort symptoms

Skin problems

In the late pregnancy, the skin on the limbs and abdomen will inexplicably itchy, and the skin will feel very dry. These are caused by hormones in the body and these phenomena are normal. However, if itching occurs on the palms and soles of the feet, is more obvious at night, the urine or skin turns yellow, the appetite is lost, and the stools are loose, you should see a doctor and be alert to the possibility of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy.

Back pain, and occasional stomach pain

The uterus of a pregnant woman will gradually grow larger during the development of the embryo. At this time, the pregnant woman will feel discomfort and stomach pain, but the pain is often mild, so expectant mothers do not need to worry too much, especially near the due date. Many pregnant mothers will experience irregular uterine contractions every day, leading to back pain and even stomach pain. At this time, it is best for pregnant mothers not to be alone at home to avoid labor.

Frequent urination and constipation

Frequent urination is common in early pregnancy, but in late pregnancy, the fetal head descends and presses on the bladder again, causing an increase in the frequency of urination and frequent constipation.

Calf cramps

Lower limb muscle cramps are commonly known as "leg cramps". Lower limb muscle cramps in pregnant women are often a manifestation of calcium deficiency. Muscle cramps mostly occur in the calf gastrocnemius muscle. Leg cramps in the late pregnancy seem to be experienced by every pregnant mother.

Difficulty sleeping

One thing that worries mothers in the late stages of pregnancy is sleep problems. There are many reasons for difficulty falling asleep, including psychological reasons, frequent urination, cramps, and the influence of the baby's fetal movement. In any case, they will get up several times a night and it may even be difficult to turn over.

Stretch marks

Some purple or light red, irregular, parallel, slightly concave stripes appear on the pregnant mother's abdomen, collectively known as stretch marks. Not every pregnant mother will have stretch marks, and the locations where they appear are also different, but as time goes by, the old stretch marks will gradually become silvery and shiny.

Edema

After the second trimester, the enlarged uterus increases the pressure in the pelvis, affecting the venous blood flow in the lower limbs. In addition, water and sodium are retained in the body. About half of pregnant women will experience swollen feet. This is a normal physiological phenomenon.

Because of their own physical constitution, the discomfort in the late pregnancy varies from person to person. In short, it is not easy for every mother. Salute to mothers all over the world!
