Is frequent urination and excessive vaginal discharge a sign of pregnancy?

Once a woman becomes pregnant, her body will experience many symptoms, such as vomiting, dizziness, amenorrhea, fatigue, etc. These are very common manifestations. However, some women may experience sudden abnormal symptoms such as frequent urination and increased vaginal discharge, and they may worry that they may be signs of pregnancy, but they are uncertain. So, does frequent urination and excessive leucorrhea mean pregnancy? Let’s take a look below.

Leucorrhea is a normal physiological phenomenon. Normal women do not have much, and in some cases, it cannot be felt at all. However, a small number of women will experience an increase in the amount of leucorrhea. So does excessive leucorrhea mean pregnancy? Generally speaking, if the possibility of pregnancy is ruled out, it may be caused by gynecological diseases.

1. It may be the occurrence of uterine fibroids, which are generally manifested by increased leucorrhea, back pain, lower abdominal distension, abdominal pain, shortened menstrual cycle, heavy menstrual flow, and prolonged menstruation. Irregular vaginal bleeding; abdominal distension, a lump felt in the lower abdomen, or frequent urination, constipation, difficulty in defecation, and infertility.

2. Cervicitis: The amount of leucorrhea is large, milky white mucous or light yellow pus, occasionally mixed with a small amount of blood, pain in the lumbar and sacral area, and pain in the pelvic area. It can cause infertility and requires timely treatment.

3. Pregnancy: If you are pregnant, there will be a significant increase in leucorrhea. This is because after pregnancy, the estrogen in the body gradually increases with the advancement of pregnancy months. Estrogen can promote the secretion of mucus by the cervix and endometrial glands. The blood flow in the genitals, vagina, and cervix of pregnant women is vigorous, and the tissue water increases, so the secretions also increase, and the amount of leucorrhea also increases accordingly.

What should I pay attention to when I have more leucorrhea?

1. Check regularly. Even if you don't feel any discomfort, you should have a comprehensive gynecological examination at least once a year.

2. Avoid wearing tight pants, especially tight nylon underwear, and choose cotton underwear;

3. Do not use sanitary pads on weekdays. Wash the vulva with clean water and change underwear every night;

4. Do not use various liquid medicines to clean the vagina, as this will damage the vagina's own environment;

5. Keep exercising, improve your physical fitness, get enough sleep, eat a reasonable diet, and have a balanced nutrition;

6. Maintain a calm mental state and avoid being overly excited, angry, or impatient.
