What are the causes of amenorrhea in women?

If a young woman has not had her period for a long time and pregnancy factors have been ruled out, she should consider the occurrence of amenorrhea. Amenorrhea in women will affect pregnancy. There are many reasons for amenorrhea, such as uterine atrophy or other gynecological diseases. Premature amenorrhea in women will cause premature ovarian failure and serious diseases such as uterine cancer, so it is very harmful. So what are the main reasons for premature amenorrhea in women?

Reasons for amenorrhea in women:

1. Environmental causes

Environmentally induced amenorrhea is related to endocrine dysfunction, such as excessive daily stress and excessive psychological load. However, women do not need to worry too much, as premature amenorrhea in this situation can generally be recovered within 6 months.

2. Congenital atresia

If a woman has congenital atresia of the lower part of the organ such as cervical atresia or hymen atresia, or atresia caused by acquired injury or adhesion, it may lead to latent or pseudo-amenorrhea in women.

3. Caused by disease

If a woman has severe pulmonary tuberculosis or endocrine diseases, her endocrine glands will be affected, which will lead to delayed menstruation and amenorrhea.

4. Organ hypoplasia or dysplasia

Some women's organs do not develop normally, such as the endometrium cannot undergo cyclical changes. Even if the ovaries function normally and the secretion of estrogen and progesterone is normal, they will still not have menstruation.

5. Fertility factors

If a woman has her first child at an older age, she will experience menopause earlier than other women of the same age. If a woman has few pregnancies, the incidence of amenorrhea will be higher than that of her peers. This shows that whether a woman has early amenorrhea has a great relationship with her fertility.

6. Other reasons

Some women are not well aware of amenorrhea and therefore do not take it seriously in their daily lives. If a woman's protein and fat intake exceeds the standard and she does not get enough exercise, it will affect her menstrual pattern to varying degrees and lead to premature menopause.

Main cause: ovarian dysfunction. Women's ovaries generally begin to age in the middle stage of their life, and their reproductive ability ends significantly earlier than normal, which is a clear biological characteristic unique to humans. The age of menopause reflects the reproductive lifespan of the ovaries, and cellular senescence is the result of menopause. Factors that affect the age of menopause include genetics, nutrition, weight, living environment, smoking, etc.
