If the leucorrhea is thick and brown and jelly-like, does it mean that I am sick?

I believe that many female friends in life will regularly observe their leucorrhea, and if they find any abnormalities, they will go to the hospital for examination. This is a very correct approach. Because leucorrhea is a substance secreted from the female genitals, once there is a problem with the leucorrhea, it means that there is a problem with the genitals. For example, after suffering from vaginitis, the leucorrhea will become very abnormal. The disease can be diagnosed by the condition of the leucorrhea. So, what disease is it that causes leucorrhea to be thick and brown like jelly?

During the ovulation period, the leucorrhea will be a little abnormal than usual, and may appear sticky, stringy, and jelly-like. This situation is caused by the ovulation period. As long as there is no abnormality in the leucorrhea and no vaginal itching, there is no problem.

Normal leucorrhea should be white or colorless, transparent, and have a slightly fishy smell or odor. The secretion of texture is affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone, and changes cyclically with the menstrual cycle, with the amount decreasing and the texture becoming thicker. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is small during menstruation and before ovulation. Due to the increase in estrogen levels, epithelial cell proliferation and increased secretion of cervical glands, the mucus of cervical mucus increases, the content of sodium chloride in it increases, which can absorb more water, making the leucorrhea during ovulation thin and bright in color, like egg white, and can be stretched into long threads. After ovulation, the estrogen level is low, the hormone level rises, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus is also reduced, so the leucorrhea is sticky, white in color, has poor ductility, and is easily broken and stretched.

The leucorrhea is jelly-like, but has no peculiar smell, color, or quantity. It is a normal physiological leucorrhea. If it occurs during the ovulation period, this situation cannot be ruled out. But you can't tell whether he is ovulating at this time. If you can, you can choose to use ovulation test combined with B-ultrasound to monitor ovulation for more accurate results.
