What is cervical bleeding?

When women reach a certain age, they will always develop gynecological diseases of one kind or another. Therefore, gynecological diseases are also a serious disease that troubles many middle-aged women, and the area where gynecological diseases often occur is inside the female uterus. There are many types of diseases related to the inside of the uterus, one of which is cervical bleeding, which is a common disease. So what causes cervical bleeding in women?

Cervical bleeding is a normal cervical disease, but many women do not understand it, or even know that cervical disease has occurred. Especially when women experience cervical bleeding, this symptom warns them that they have gynecological diseases. There are many reasons that lead to cervical bleeding in women. Female friends must understand the causes so that they can better target treatment and care. So, what causes cervical bleeding? Let’s take a closer look below.

1. If a woman has a childbirth, miscarriage, or induced labor, it is easy for her cervix to be lacerated. If it is not repaired surgically, the scar tissue will expand and contract in the future, causing cervical eversion, leading to some complications of infection in women, resulting in purulent vaginal discharge, and even contact bleeding. This is also one of the reasons for cervical bleeding in many women.

2. In the case of cervical inflammation, a large amount of secretions are discharged from the external os of the cervix, and the surrounding epithelium causes it to lose vitality and form ulcers. Clinically, it is common to see mucosal granules on the external os of the cervix and shiny bright red areas. This is what people often call cervical erosion. When women suffer from cervical erosion and the condition is severe, cervical bleeding is likely to occur during sexual intercourse.

3. Women may experience cervical bleeding, mainly because of the appearance of polyps in the cervical mucosa, which are soft and bright red in texture and will bleed upon contact. Especially for larger cervical polyps, in addition to causing increased vaginal discharge, there will also be contact bleeding, and even a small amount of bleeding after defecation and sexual intercourse, which are similar to the symptoms of early cervical cancer.

Through the introduction above, many women should understand what causes cervical canal bleeding. Therefore, once they understand the causes of cervical canal bleeding, they must do a good job of daily care in their lives to avoid the disease from causing harm to their health. Once cervical bleeding is discovered, it is important to pay close attention and seek timely treatment at a regular hospital, as well as take daily care measures, which are the keys to staying away from the disease.
