What to do if you have toothache during breastfeeding

When mothers are breastfeeding their babies, they need to pay special attention to their diet. There are many foods that mothers don’t eat. If the mother has toothache while breastfeeding, she should not only pay attention to her diet, but also not use any medications at will. She can only take some physical methods to relieve the symptoms of toothache. If the toothache symptoms are severe, it is best to consult a dentist and receive treatment under the doctor's guidance.

What to do if you have toothache during breastfeeding

1. Put a mint on the painful tooth.

2. Hold peppercorns in the area where you have toothache.

3. Ice compress: Apply ice to the cheek closest to the toothache area to relieve pain. Apply for 15 minutes each time, at least 3-4 times a day.

4. Rinse your mouth with concentrated salt water. Use saturated concentrated salt water (take an appropriate amount of water and add salt until it no longer dissolves). Concentrated salt water helps reduce inflammation. You can also dip a cotton swab in concentrated salt water and bite it on the swollen and painful tooth. Don't be afraid of the pain. Hold on for a while and be sure to rinse your mouth with boiled water afterwards.

5. Apply an appropriate amount of toothpaste to the toothache area, which will relieve the pain after a few minutes.

6. Garlic slices to relieve pain: Cut the garlic into thin slices and apply it to the pulse point of the wrist. If the toothache is on the left side, apply it to the pulse point of the right wrist. If you have a toothache on the right side, placing it on your left wrist can relieve some of the pain.
