Will there be blood in the leucorrhea caused by cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease with a high incidence rate. The real name of the disease is cervical columnar epithelium ectopia. Clinically, cervical erosion has different degrees, usually divided into first, second and third degrees. The higher the degree, the more serious the condition. If it is only mild cervical erosion, the most obvious change is abnormal leucorrhea. In addition, if the cervical erosion is very serious, the leucorrhea may also contain blood.

Will there be blood in the leucorrhea caused by cervical erosion?

If you suffer from cervical erosion, you will have symptoms of bloody vaginal discharge. For second-degree cervical erosion, it is recommended to go to the hospital within 3-7 days after the next menstruation is over and receive treatment through physical methods such as microwave or lip knife. Treat Trichomonas vaginitis promptly and actively before treating cervical erosion.

Patients with cervical erosion have bloody vaginal discharge, which is mainly caused by bleeding from the erosion surface. In a few cases, it is also necessary to rule out other malignant lesions of the cervix. In addition, when vaginitis is particularly severe, the vaginal discharge will also have bloody streaks. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a colposcopy-based cervical biopsy and to undergo cervical cancer screening, such as cytology and HPV testing.

Bloody vaginal discharge is caused by cervical erosion and needs timely treatment. For vaginitis, metronidazole and chlorhexidine can be used to clean the vulva and vagina, and then metronidazole vaginal effervescent tablets and ornidazole vaginal suppositories can be inserted into the vagina for treatment. Cervical erosion of the second degree or above generally requires physical surgery.

Cervical erosion is a common disease among women of childbearing age. Increased vaginal discharge is the main symptom of cervical erosion. The vaginal discharge can be white, light yellow, purulent or bloody. Sometimes there will be bleeding during sexual intercourse, which may be accompanied by vulvar itching, lower abdominal pain, and soreness in the lumbar region, which will worsen after fatigue during menstruation.

Clinically, erosion is often divided into three categories according to the area of erosion: mild (Ⅰ°), moderate (Ⅱ°), and severe (Ⅲ°). Any erosion area that accounts for 1/3 of the total cervical area is considered mild cervical erosion. If the erosion area occupies 1/2 of the cervix, it is moderate cervical erosion. When the area of erosion exceeds 1/2 of the total area of the cervix, it is considered severe cervical erosion.

Cervical erosion changes the vaginal environment, increases toxins and inflammatory cells, hinders the survival and movement of sperm, and makes it impossible for them to penetrate the cervix and enter the uterine cavity, leading to female infertility.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that cervical erosion is caused by spleen deficiency and dysfunction, endogenous dampness and heat, which flow down to the uterus and are then attacked by external pathogens and accumulate in the uterus. In treatment, according to the pathological basis of insufficient vital energy, accumulation of dampness and heat, and stagnation of qi and blood stasis, the methods of replenishing vital energy, clearing away dampness and heat, promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, reducing swelling and relieving pain, and detoxifying and regenerating tissue are adopted.
