What causes pain in the left leg of a pregnant woman?

The rapid operation of hormones in the pregnant woman's body will cause the pubic bone at the junction of the thigh and abdomen to relax. This relaxation is a bit like the feeling of doing a split suddenly. The severe pain will naturally make us feel pain in our left leg, and we will feel pain when turning over in sleep. In addition, the weight of the fetus during pregnancy will cause the center of gravity of the pregnant woman to move forward, so naturally the muscles in the legs and abdomen need to support the body all the time, leading to muscle soreness in these two parts.

What causes left leg pain after pregnancy?

First: After pregnancy, progesterone works desperately, and our pubic ligament is affected and begins to relax, the distance between the pubic bones will increase, while the pubic bones of normal people are connected by ligaments. When ours are separated, it will hurt... For most pregnant women, the distance between the pubic bones will be within 9mm, but if you accidentally separate the pubic bones on both sides by more than 10mm, it is called "pubic symphysis separation."

Second: Symphysis pubis separation is a feeling that makes people easily vomit. It will not hurt when sitting or lying still, but it will hurt sharply when you stand up or turn over! It will be obviously painful if you slightly separate your legs, and you may even be unable to separate your legs. In serious cases, you will not be able to walk.

Third: Although it is normal for the distance between the pubic bones to increase during pregnancy, we still need to try our best to control it and not allow ourselves to develop pubic separation!

Why does a pregnant woman have severe leg pain?

1. Body aches

When a normal human body stands at attention, the body's center of gravity maintains balance front, back, left and right due to the coordination of various muscle and ligament groups. During pregnancy, as the uterus gradually expands, the abdomen swells, and the body's center of gravity moves forward, the relevant muscles and ligaments will inevitably increase the load and tension in order to maintain the front and back balance of the body. Therefore, the muscle movements change from natural to conscious. Some pregnant women who are often in this state of tension may easily feel tired and have muscle soreness.

2. Hand pain

During pregnancy, some women experience paresthesias or pain in the tips of their thumbs, index fingers, and middle fingers. The pain usually occurs at night and sometimes radiates to the elbows and shoulders, and may be unilateral or bilateral. These symptoms are medically called carpal tunnel syndrome, which is mainly caused by physiological water and sodium retention during pregnancy, which causes local edema in the carpal tunnel of the wrist and compression of the nerves. Symptoms usually begin to ease in the late stages of pregnancy and usually heal on their own after delivery.

3. Lower back pain

Low back pain often occurs in the last three months of pregnancy, mainly caused by two diseases, one is pelvic pain syndrome, the other is dense sacroiliitis, rather than any kidney deficiency.
