The main symptoms

At first, it is a slightly raised red spot with clear edges, which gradually expands and has scaling, gradually turning from red to brown or skin color.

The center of the lesion gradually heals automatically and spreads to the surrounding area. The inflammation at the edge of the erythema is more obvious, and there may be rashes, blisters, scabs, and even erosions on it, forming a ring.

After healing, temporary pigmentation will remain and the itching symptoms will be severe.

Treatment

Compound resorcinolone solution can be applied directly to the area of tinea cruris, but hormonal drugs will cause certain irritation and damage to the skin.

Tinea cruris rash is widely distributed. In addition to topical medications, oral antifungal drugs can be used, such as griseofulvin, ketoconazole, etc. However, these drugs have certain side effects, such as liver and kidney damage. They should be taken under the guidance of a doctor, and liver function should be checked regularly during treatment.

Traditional Chinese medicine treats tinea cruris with topical ointments. Pu'antang's tinea cruris ointment contains Chinese medicinal ingredients such as Qingmuxiang and Huangbai. Qingmuxiang has the functions of clearing away heat and dampness, detoxifying, reducing swelling and relieving itching; Huangbai clears heat and dampness, purges fire and eliminates steaming, detoxifies and treats sores, thus effectively treating tinea cruris.

Precautions

Develop good hygiene habits: wash the pubic area every day to keep the area clean; change underwear frequently, and wash and dry clothes and quilts frequently to facilitate recovery.

Wear loose clothing and change underwear to soft cotton with good moisture absorption.

Do not use other people's underwear, underwear and toiletries, avoid direct contact with patients with ringworm and animals to avoid infection.

Actively treat ringworm in other parts of the body, such as tinea manuum, tinea pedis, onychomycosis and tinea corporis, to facilitate treatment and prevent recurrence.

Avoid eating spicy and irritating foods and hair-raising foods, quit smoking and drinking, eat a light diet, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Reduce sweating, keep the area dry and shady, do not use overheated water to clean, do not use alkaline detergents, and use weakly acidic bath products, which will not harm the sebum membrane or aggravate skin lesions.
