Will I have my period in the month of conception?

Menstruation is the most important physiological phenomenon for women. It is one of the prerequisites for women to become pregnant, because menstruation and ovulation are closely related. Only with healthy menstruation and a normal ovulation cycle can the chance of conception be increased. Conception will also affect the occurrence of menstruation. For example, will a woman have her period in the month she becomes pregnant? Let’s take a look at the explanation below. I hope women can understand it.

Generally speaking, the first sign that a woman is pregnant is amenorrhea. Normally, women will no longer have menstruation after becoming pregnant. A married or sexually active woman with a normal menstrual cycle should consider the possibility of pregnancy if her menstruation is delayed, but this is not absolute. A small number of women still experience vaginal bleeding on the date of their next menstrual period after becoming pregnant. This type of menstruation after pregnancy is called "pregnancy menstruation." Its characteristics are less bleeding, lighter color, shorter duration, and it is different from any previous menstruation. In fact, this is not true menstruation. This phenomenon usually occurs within 3 months of pregnancy and usually only occurs once. Some pregnant women also experience it 2 to 3 times.

What to do if you have vaginal bleeding after pregnancy

1. During early pregnancy, if there is vaginal bleeding, it may be caused by unstable implantation of the fertilized egg and individual differences, so it is a false alarm. But it should be noted that vaginal bleeding may also indicate abnormal conditions such as threatened abortion or ectopic pregnancy.

2. Women with threatened miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy may also experience vaginal bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy, which can easily be mistaken for normal menstruation. However, vaginal bleeding in women with threatened abortion or ectopic pregnancy is usually unrelated to the menstrual cycle, and the bleeding is often continuous and constant. Patients are also often accompanied by symptoms such as abdominal pain and lower abdominal distension.

3. If women of childbearing age experience the above-mentioned vaginal bleeding, they must seek medical attention as soon as possible, otherwise the child may miscarry and the pregnant woman may be at risk of death from heavy bleeding.
