The success rate of blastocyst transplantation is 100%

Embryo transfer is a type of IVF test tube transfer that can increase the implantation rate of fertilized eggs and reduce the possibility of multiple pregnancies. So what is the reason why the success rate of blastocyst transplantation is as high as 100%?

Embryo refers to a test tube embryo that has been cultivated for 5-7 days, with a total number of more than 100 cells. The embryo transfer technology is to simulate natural pregnancy and transplant the test tube into the uterus of the pregnant mother. Under natural circumstances, the human test tube embryo is embedded in the pregnant mother in the form of an embryo, which can achieve a higher test tube embryo embedding rate. According to surveys, the success rate of in vitro fertilization embryo transplantation is significantly higher than that of general transplantation by about 20%. Embryo technology can more intuitively and reliably identify the quality of test tube embryos. This process can replace counterfeit or even defective test tube embryos. Generally, test tube transplantation uses 3-day-old test tube embryos for transplantation. At this time, the embryo has developed to 8 cells. Compared with embryos that have been cultured for 5 days, ordinary test tube embryos cannot be visually distinguished between good and bad, and inferior test tube embryos cannot be removed through artificial control methods, so the purpose of eugenics cannot be achieved. In addition, the success rate of embryos growing into babies is twice that of test tube embryos that are cultivated for three days.

What are the advantages of embryo transfer?

1. Make test tube transplantation optional. After a longer in vitro shaping time than fresh embryos, defective test tube embryos with no growth potential can be further replaced to achieve the goal of survival of the fittest.

2. More in line with the physiological implantation time. Because the embryos need to be cultured longer than fresh embryos, they can be synchronized with the uterine wall, which can improve the clinical pregnancy rate and test tube embryo implantation rate. When high-quality embryos are available, only single embryo transfer can be performed to reduce the rate of multiple pregnancy.

3. Ensure the pass rate of embedding. Because the embryo has gone through the zona pellucida, it can attach directly to the uterine membrane.

4. Reduce the impact of adverse factors on the communication between test tube embryos and pregnant mothers. Embryo transplantation can reduce the impact of adverse factors by shortening the time it takes for embryos implanted in test tubes to continue growing and developing.
