Black pimples on vulva

Basically, most women are particularly concerned about this part of their body, so they often clean and observe their private parts. Therefore, once there is an abnormality in their private parts, female friends will be particularly worried about whether they have gynecological diseases. Because gynecological diseases have a great impact on a woman's body, what disease could cause black bumps on the vulva?

1. The reason why black bumps grow on the vulva

1. Small black bumps are currently growing on the female genital vulva. To diagnose whether you have genital warts, it is recommended to do a cervical smear test and human papillomavirus nucleic acid test.

2. It may be caused by vulvar folliculitis abscess. It is recommended that you wash your vulva with clean water every day, and your underwear and clothes must be loose and breathable. If there are signs of suppuration, go to the hospital immediately for treatment.

2. Causes of vulvar folliculitis

Vulvar folliculitis is an inflammation caused by nonspecific purulent bacteria invading the hair follicles of the vulva. Scratching, friction, high temperature, humidity and sweating are the triggering factors of this disease.

3. Clinical manifestations of vulvar folliculitis

The skin around the hair follicles of the vulva becomes red, swollen and painful, gradually forming a cone-shaped pustule with a pubic hair protruding from its center. Pustules may be multiple, and adjacent small pustules may fuse together to form large pustules, accompanied by severe congestion, edema and pain in the vulva.

4. Diagnosis of vulvar folliculitis

The diagnosis can be made based on clinical manifestations, physical signs, and the relationship of the lesions to the hair follicles. That is, superficial pustules centered on the pubic hair, with mild inflammation and shallow infiltration. Those who have recurrent symptoms should be careful to check whether they also have diabetes.

5. Treatment of vulvar folliculitis

1. Eliminate the cause and keep the vulva clean and dry as much as possible. Avoid irritation and squeezing.

2. In the early stage of the disease, you can use 0.02% potassium permanganate warm water sitz bath, twice a day.

3. If multiple small pustules are formed or merge into large pustules, systemic antibiotics can be used for treatment.

4. For mature pustules, the pus can be punctured and drained, rinsed with normal saline or other external disinfectant, and then antibiotic ointment, sulfonamide ointment, or 2% iodine tincture can be applied to the periphery.

5. If the pustules have not dried and scabbed 3 days after treatment, the cause should be investigated to determine whether there is concurrent Candida infection.
