Girls have a lot of vaginal discharge and their underwear is always wet

Leucorrhea is a liquid secreted by women. Normal leucorrhea should be transparent and have no odor. There will be an increase in vaginal discharge before menstruation, which is a normal phenomenon. Just pay more attention to hygiene. Some women do not only have increased leucorrhea before menstruation, but also have excessive leucorrhea at other times, so much that it wets their underwear. In this case, it is best to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if it is caused by gynecological inflammation. So how should we take care of excessive vaginal discharge?

Clinical manifestations

1. Purulent leucorrhea

The color is yellow or yellow-green, mucus or foamy, and has a foul odor. It is mostly caused by vaginal inflammation, among which Trichomonas vaginitis is the most common, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching. It can also be seen in chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, uterine effusion or foreign bodies in the vagina.

2. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea

Most of them are typical phenomena of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching.

3. Bloody leucorrhea, leucorrhea mixed with blood

Be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal myoma, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, urethral caruncle, senile vaginitis, etc. can also cause bloody leucorrhea. A small amount of bloody leucorrhea caused by intrauterine contraceptive device is also common.

4. Yellow watery leucorrhea

It is mostly caused by necrosis of diseased tissue. If there is a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling vaginal discharge, advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or submucosal myoma with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

5. Urinary dysfunction with increased leucorrhea

In typical gonococcal infection, the amount of leucorrhea and urethral secretions may increase and be yellow and purulent. The leucorrhea caused by chlamydia is less viscous and there is an increase in white serous cervical secretions.

6. Colorless, transparent, sticky leucorrhea

It is similar to egg white, or slightly turbid, but there are few other symptoms except increased vaginal discharge. It is more common before ovulation or after the use of estrogen, at which time the vaginal discharge can be seen to be long and thin.

7. Yellow mucous leucorrhea

It is seen in cervical erosion, chronic cervicitis, etc. It is caused by mild infection.

treat:

1. Change the pH of the vagina

The most suitable pH value for Candida growth is 5.5. The weak acidic environment of the vagina can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. The normal pH is 3.7-4.5. Therefore, it is advisable to use a weak acid formula feminine care solution with a pH ≤ 4. In addition to being suitable for daily cleaning and maintenance, the use of a weak acid formula feminine care solution during treatment will inhibit the growth and reproduction of fungi. When going to the toilet, wipe the vulva with feminine hygiene wipes and keep it dry to inhibit the growth of Candida.

2. Drug therapy

(1) Trichomonas vaginitis Trichomonas exists in the vaginal folds and glands of the cervix, as well as in the urethra and intestines, so it should be treated both internally and externally. ① Oral anti-trichomoniasis drugs. After taking the medicine, test for Trichomonas. If the result is negative, the patient should continue treatment for one course after the next menstruation to consolidate the therapeutic effect. ②Simultaneous local treatment. ③ Husband and wife govern together.

(2) Candidal vaginitis: Use baking soda solution to rinse the vulva and vagina or take a sitz bath. After gently drying, place a nystatin suppository deep in the vagina, or apply nystatin cream to the vaginal wall, once a night or once in the morning and evening for a total of 10 to 14 days.

(3) For nonspecific vaginitis, oral metronidazole is an optional drug. It can also be treated with local medication.

(4) Senile vaginitis can be treated with local medication in the vagina. Increase vaginal acidity. If necessary, estrogen therapy should be used as an adjunct.
