Light bleeding during vaginal delivery

Light bleeding during vaginal delivery

Some pregnant mothers' uterus will be damaged after giving birth. Women can give birth through caesarean section or natural birth. Some women may find bleeding in their lower body when having sex with men after giving birth normally, but the amount of blood is not much, just a little bit. This may be because the uterus has not fully recovered after giving birth. Therefore, bleeding symptoms will occur during intercourse.

1. Having sex too early

It is not advisable to have sex too early after delivery, otherwise it will seriously affect the recovery of the uterus and may cause paroxysmal bleeding. After childbirth, the cervix and vaginal opening secrete less lubricating fluid, so it is best to have more foreplay during sexual intercourse.

2. Cervical disease

If the uterus recovers well after delivery, bleeding during intercourse will occur for a long time. In this case, the specific location of vaginal bleeding should be determined first. If the bleeding occurs in the cervix, a cervical cytology examination can be performed to rule out the possibility of cervical malignancy. If it is intrauterine bleeding, there is no need to worry too much if there is no abnormality in the ultrasound examination. Temporarily avoiding sexual intercourse during vaginal bleeding generally does not cause any serious problems.

Bleeding during intercourse after normal delivery is a relatively common phenomenon. Do not have intercourse too early. Just be gentle and pay attention to hygiene during intercourse. If bleeding continues, you should go to the hospital for relevant examinations.

Medical research shows that it takes about six weeks for the uterus of a woman who gives birth naturally to return to its normal size. This is because during pregnancy, the pregnant woman's uterus gradually expands and becomes larger as the fetus in the abdomen continues to grow and develop. By the time of delivery, the pregnant woman's uterus is several times larger than before pregnancy. Therefore, the recovery process is also relatively long. The endometrium of a postpartum woman takes a longer time to recover, roughly eight weeks. It can only fully recover after the ovarian function has basically recovered, that is, after the menstruation comes.

However, there is actually no hard and fast rule on how long you can have sex after a normal birth. It mainly depends on the woman's own physical condition. Those with weaker bodies or those who don't recover well after childbirth need to delay having sex. For the mother's health, the father needs to be patient for a while. For those who have recovered well and are in good health, they can have sex earlier after a normal birth, but not earlier than 8 weeks after delivery. Couples must never sow the seeds of trouble for the sake of momentary pleasure.
