Tips for shiny hair

Tips for shiny hair

Hair is very important to people, and everyone wants to have black and shiny hair. However, due to different physical conditions of each person, the quality of hair is also different. Some people have thick, dense hair, while others have fine, dry, and frizzy hair. Various hair problems are caused by lack of nutrition or water in the hair. Here are some tips to make your hair shiny.

1. Eat a balanced diet

Daily diet can directly affect our hair quality. Since protein accounts for 65% of human hair, it is crucial to eat high-protein foods in our daily diet, such as: green leafy vegetables, beans, low-fat fish, seafood and white meat, etc.

2. Massage your hair with coconut oil

Massage helps blood circulation, and it's best to use coconut oil when massaging your head because coconut oil is a great source of nutrients and vitamins, nourishes the skin, and is a natural conditioner. This massage helps stimulate the skin on your head and keep your hair lush.

3. Trim your hair regularly

Regular hair trimming helps hair growth. Without regular trimming, the hair ends will become thinner and brittle. It is best to trim the hair ends regularly every three months.

4. Don’t wash your hair too often

We may mistakenly think that washing our hair every day can keep it clean, but frequent use of shampoo can cause our hair to lose most of its natural essential oils, making it too dry. The most reasonable frequency of shampooing should be controlled at 3-4 times a week.

5. Avoid over-combing

Another popular misconception is that frequent combing is good for hair growth. While the process of combing stimulates the skin and releases natural oils that promote hair growth, overuse of the comb can lead to hair loss. Daily combing should not last more than 5-10 minutes.

6. Reduce stress

Nervous tension is a common cause of hair loss. Proper stress reduction can help hair growth, you can try yoga or meditation.

7. Change your pillowcase

Use silk pillowcases instead of ordinary cotton pillowcases, because silk pillowcases are smoother and will reduce the friction between hair and pillowcase, thereby reducing hair loss.

8. Take vitamins

Food is a natural source of vitamins, but it is far from enough to get vitamins only from daily food. For the health of hair, it is best to increase the intake of vitamins appropriately through special medicines and supplements.

9. Use a natural hair mask

You can DIY a variety of natural hair masks at home, such as the following ingredients: gooseberries, onion juice, coconut milk, honey, lemon, avocado and olive oil. It is best to do it once a week.

10. Don’t forget to wear a hat

Hats and headbands protect your hair from dust, dirt, wind, rain and sun.
