Can pregnant women watch TV?

Women during pregnancy should stay away from things that carry radiation. For example, mobile phones, computers, televisions, etc., because these radiation lights can affect the fetus. Severe radiation can even cause fetal malformations. Therefore, for the health of the baby and themselves, women during pregnancy should stay away from electronic products. However, many pregnant women do not understand this. Let us take a closer look at whether pregnant women can watch TV.

Pregnant women should avoid watching intense, tense, thrilling or scary programs on TV to avoid excessive tension, excitement and accelerated heartbeat. Also, don't sit too close to the TV when watching TV. Pregnant women should be at least 2 meters away from the TV. Or sit down and watch TV immediately after eating, and don't let watching TV affect your rest. Do not watch TV for more than 2 hours, because sitting inactive for a long time will cause poor blood circulation in the legs and aggravate leg swelling.

1. Avoid watching TV for long periods of time: Generally, pregnant women should not watch TV for more than 2 hours at a time to avoid excessive use of their eyes, especially pregnant women with pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome should pay more attention.

2. Avoid poor indoor air circulation.

3. Avoid watching scary, tense, or tragic programs, as these programs can make pregnant women nervous and cause a special substance to appear in their blood, which will be brought to the fetus through the placenta, making the fetus uneasy.

4. Avoid watching TV and going to bed too late: Pregnant women should pay attention to rest and ensure adequate sleep. Generally, they should sleep 8-9 hours at night.

5. Avoid watching TV after a full meal: Food needs to be digested after a meal, and watching TV requires the brain. This will inevitably reduce the blood supply to the gastrointestinal tract in the human body, thereby affecting the normal digestion and absorption functions, and is not conducive to the development and growth of the fetus.

6. Avoid bad hygiene habits: such as eating snacks while watching TV, curling up while watching TV, etc. This will increase the intra-abdominal pressure and restrict gastrointestinal motility, which is not conducive to the digestion and absorption of food, especially the excretion of bile, and is prone to biliary diseases.
