What causes fallopian tube rupture?

What causes fallopian tube rupture?

When the sperm and egg successfully combine, they will become a fertilized egg. We humans develop from a tiny fertilized egg. Doesn’t it feel magical? In fact, there are many magical things in nature. However, in real life, the fallopian tube, the channel for transporting the fertilized egg, may also be damaged, making it impossible for the fertilized egg to pass smoothly, and naturally pregnancy is impossible. So, what causes fallopian tube rupture?

Tubal pregnancy is the most common cause of fallopian tube rupture. It is mainly because the fertilized egg does not implant normally in the uterine cavity, but is free to the isthmus of the fallopian tube. As the fertilized egg gradually develops and grows, it causes the fallopian tube to rupture. Most cases of tubal pregnancy are caused by tubal adhesions due to tubal inflammation, which usually occurs on both sides of the fallopian tube.

Symptoms of Fallopian Tube Rupture

1. A small amount of irregular vaginal bleeding: Most patients will have symptoms of vaginal bleeding, which is often irregular, spot-like, dark brown, and sometimes like miscarriage, with membrane-like substances flowing out of the vagina.

2. Abdominal pain: This is the main symptom of tubal pregnancy, which is caused by internal bleeding irritating the mucous membrane. In tubal pregnancy abortion type, the bleeding is relatively slow, and the pain is often paroxysmal, or it may start with sudden colic, which may turn into paroxysmal pain after a few hours. Most cases of tubal pregnancy rupture present as colic, which is severe and often accompanied by nausea, vomiting and coma. The abdominal pain in ectopic pregnancy is characterized by pain radiating to the anus and a feeling of wanting to defecate.

3. Syncope: Due to acute intra-abdominal bleeding and severe abdominal pain, patients often faint and even go into shock.

What to do if the fallopian tube ruptures

Once a ruptured fallopian tube is discovered, the patient must be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, a laparotomy must be performed to remove the gestational sac, repair or remove the affected fallopian tube, and stop the bleeding. If the amount of bleeding is heavy, an emergency blood transfusion must be performed to prevent shock.

I believe everyone is aware of the harm that fallopian tube pregnancy can do to a woman's body. Therefore, after becoming pregnant, female friends are advised to go to a regular hospital for an ultrasound examination about 40 days after their menstruation stops in order to determine whether it is an intrauterine pregnancy. If the examination finds an ectopic pregnancy, surgery should be performed immediately to terminate the pregnancy to avoid delays that may cause greater harm to the body.
