What is the reason for less ovulation?

What is the reason for less ovulation?

We all know that women can release about four to five hundred eggs in their lifetime, but not every egg has the chance to become a fertilized egg. Women release a mature egg every month, and it is especially easy to get pregnant on the day of ovulation. Therefore, many couples who want children will choose to have sex on the day of ovulation. However, some women have less ovulation. What's going on?

Under normal circumstances, mature women will regularly release a mature egg every month, which will be automatically discharged from the body and form menstruation with the physiological shedding of the endometrium. However, in addition to regular ovulation, there may also be a small number of ovulations, irregular ovulation, or even no ovulation, which is called abnormal ovulation.

The first thing that abnormal ovulation will affect is menstruation. For example, changes in menstrual cycle and flow, or sparse or irregular menstruation, are all caused by abnormal ovulation. Abnormal ovulation is closely related to three reasons.

1. Hormone disorders

Disturbance of hormone levels in the body is the most common cause of abnormal ovulation, including: mood swings, alcoholism, staying up late, drug effects, etc. Any of these reasons may cause endocrine disorders and lead to abnormal ovulation.

2. Organ damage

Another cause of abnormal ovulation is organic disease of internal organs, including: damage to the hypothalamus, missing or damaged ovaries, congenital ovarian disease, polycystic ovary syndrome, etc., which will affect the secretion of hormones.

3. Systemic diseases

Some systemic diseases can also cause abnormal ovulation, such as: malnutrition, deficiency of certain vitamins, obesity, tuberculosis, etc. These will damage ovarian function.
