Will gastric polyps grow again after removal?

Gastric polyps are papillary protrusions that appear on the surface of the gastric mucosa, and are mostly caused by abnormal proliferation of the gastric mucosa. There are often no obvious symptoms for a long time and it is usually discovered accidentally during gastroscopy, gastrointestinal barium meal radiography or other surgical procedures. There are usually no discomfort symptoms in the early stages of the disease. Symptoms often manifest as dull pain in the upper abdomen, bloating, discomfort, and in rare cases, nausea and vomiting may occur. So, will you still have children after gastric polyps are removed?

Gastric polyps may be related to factors such as drinking, eating meat, a family history of gastric cancer, and Helicobacter pylori infection. 90% of gastric polyps patients have no symptoms. When they have other symptoms such as gastritis, they may show abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting and other discomforts. Although gastric polyps are classified as benign tumors, they can also cause harm to the human body if they remain there for a long time. The main harms are on two levels: one is the possibility of lesions; the other is that if the cysts are not removed, they may cause gastric bleeding when they grow larger. Therefore, it is generally recommended that patients undergo surgery to remove it. This operation is relatively simple and less traumatic, and the technology is relatively mature. It can be removed by argon gas knife, stone removal basket or water jet under gastroscopy. Gastric polyps are caused by the proliferation of gastric mucosal epithelial cells.
