How do you get uterine tumors?

There is no doubt that uterine fibroids have become a major disease threatening the health of modern people. The occurrence of uterine fibroids will affect women's fertility and sexual life. Moreover, data show that the probability of women developing uterine fibroids has increased significantly in recent years. So why do women get uterine fibroids? What factors are related to uterine fibroids?

What causes uterine fibroids?

First, age: Uterine fibroids mostly occur in women of childbearing age, more common in women aged 30-50. It is rare for adolescent women to have uterine fibroids. After menopause, uterine fibroids atrophy or disappear.

Second, obesity: Obesity can cause metabolic disorders, leading to lack of cyclical regulation of progesterone, causing abnormal menstrual cycles, affecting ovulation, and increasing the risk of uterine fibroids.

Third, history of pregnancy and miscarriage: Women with no history of pregnancy and childbirth have a higher risk of developing uterine fibroids than women with a history of pregnancy and childbirth, and the age of onset is earlier, mainly because menstruation can increase the amount of progesterone in women's bodies.

Fourth, smoking and drinking: Smoking and drinking can easily induce uterine fibroids. Studies have shown that women who smoke a pack of cigarettes a day are six times more likely to develop uterine fibroids than non-smoking women.

What are the dangers of uterine fibroids

First, infertility or miscarriage. If fibroid tissue appears in the uterine cornu, it may compress the entrance of the fallopian tube, preventing sperm from ascending to the fallopian tube and combining with the egg, thereby affecting conception; it may cause deformation of the uterus, hinder the implantation of the fertilized egg and hinder conception. Even if the fertilized egg has implanted, larger fibroids combined with pregnancy can easily cause miscarriage due to mechanical obstruction of embryonic development and uterine cavity infection.

Second, it causes gynecological inflammation. Uterine fibroids can cause pelvic congestion and infection, among which the infection caused by fibroids is mostly caused by pedicle torsion. After infection, abscesses may form in the fibroid tissue of a few patients, and suppuration may occur. At the same time, pathogenic bacteria after fibroid infection can invade other nearby organs, causing gynecological diseases such as adnexitis and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Third, secondary anemia. Uterine fibroids can cause excessive menstrual bleeding in patients. Over time, patients will develop secondary anemia, manifested by symptoms such as general fatigue, pale complexion, palpitations and shortness of breath.

To sum up, the causes of uterine fibroids are varied and the harms are also varied. Friends who want to get pregnant must prevent the symptom of uterine fibroids. It has to be said that obesity poses a huge threat to our health. Friends who are too obese should actively lose weight for the sake of their health and image.
