Why do women urinate frequently at night when it is normal during the day?

In layman's terms, frequent urination means that the intervals between urination are very short but the number of urinations is very high, especially at night. Many people will encounter this problem and often cannot sleep at night, which leads to grogginess at work the next day. In life, some women are often troubled by frequent urination at night, but urinating during the day is quite normal and there is no abnormality. So, why is this happening?

1. Virus infection

The invasion of the virus may also be due to Trichomonas infection or urinary tract infection. First of all, we must clarify the cause of the disease and then solve it accordingly. You can go to the hospital for a routine urine test to make a clear diagnosis. If necessary, you can also do a B-ultrasound. In normal times, you should also pay attention to drinking plenty of water to promote urination and excretion of bacteria.

2. Inflammatory stimulation

Increased nocturia in women may also be caused by inflammatory stimulation, such as: acute cystitis, tuberculous cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, vulvitis, etc. Women may also experience symptoms of frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating due to these inflammatory stimuli. These symptoms are also called urinary tract irritation.

3. Reduced bladder capacity

Such as bladder space-occupying lesions, compression from the enlarged uterus during pregnancy, tuberculous bladder contracture, or large bladder stones.

4. Diabetes

Diabetes generally has no special symptoms. When "three mores and one less" occur, namely, more urination, more eating, and more drinking of water, but weight loss, it means that blood sugar is already very high and has produced a "diuretic" effect. If you are a diabetic and suddenly have frequent urination at night, be alert to the possibility of diabetes complications or worsening diabetes.

5. Mental disorders

The patient has no organic disease that causes nocturia. When they are highly nervous or nervous, they sleep poorly and feel the urge to urinate even when their bladder is slightly full. Some patients, for fear of enuresis, have to get up to urinate 1-2 times in the middle of the night, which becomes a habit over time. This nocturia only increases the frequency of urination, but sometimes the amount of nocturia is greater than that of daytime urine.
