Granulation of labia

Granulation of labia

For female friends, the labia is a relatively private part of the body. If you do not pay attention to the hygiene of your labia on a daily basis, you are likely to suffer from various gynecological diseases. Some friends find granulations on their labia and become very worried: Is there a health problem? Many friends don’t know what the granulations on the labia indicate. Today we will tell you about this knowledge.

What is the cause of the granulation on the inner side of the labia?

(1) Be alert to the occurrence of gynecological inflammation

In the case of granulation tissue on the inner side of the labia, the granulation tissue may be formed due to long-term inflammatory stimulation, leading to local tissue hyperplasia inside the labia. After the relevant symptoms appear, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for examination in time to confirm what kind of gynecological inflammation is "causing the problem" and then receive targeted treatment for recovery.

(2) Be alert to the onset of genital warts

Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease caused by human papillomavirus infection, with proliferative lesions in the genital area as the main manifestation. After the infection occurs, women will develop small pink papules in multiple reproductive parts such as the labia majora and minora, clitoris, cervix, and perianal area. These papules will gradually grow larger and increase in number, forming nipple-like, cockscomb-like, or cauliflower-like protruding lesions. They need to be treated with medication in a timely manner, and if necessary, couples may be asked to treat them together to avoid cross-infection problems.

(3) Be alert to the onset of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum

The symptoms of pseudo-condyloma acuminatum are similar to those of genital warts, and both may cause granulations on the inner side of the labia. However, pseudo-condyloma acuminatum is a benign papillomavirus and is not contagious. Generally, active treatment and prevention are required to quickly recover.

(4) Be alert to the onset of genital herpes

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by the herpes simplex virus. Patients will develop blisters in the genital area and can be transmitted through sexual transmission.

The above is an introduction to the granulations on the inner side of the labia. Obviously, there are many reasons for the granulations on the inner side of the female labia. Female friends need to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time after abnormal symptoms occur.
