White spots on areola during lactation

It is very common to have small white spots on the areola during lactation in daily life. It will not only cause great harm to the patient's physical health, but also seriously affect their normal life and work. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand relevant knowledge and find scientific and effective treatment methods. When people find relevant symptoms, they need to seek medical treatment in time and choose appropriate treatment methods according to their actual situation.

1 Breastfeeding mothers, please note that the first situation I will talk about when solving the problem of blocked nipples and white bubbles during breastfeeding is that there is a lot of milk, and when the baby eats on one side, the milk will be so full that it will overflow, and the milk will increase very quickly, so you often need to use a breast pump.

2 Please note that most mothers with blocked nipples have used breast pumps. Doctors say that the suction of a breast pump is too direct and will irritate the walls of the mammary ducts. In addition, mothers will try to suck as much as possible for the so-called emptying of the breasts, thinking that the more the better. In fact, this is not the case. Doctors say that after the breasts have enough milk, there is no need to suck them empty. Just suck a few times each time to prevent them from becoming too swollen. Excessive milking will cause a large number of mammary duct wall cells to fall off, which then combine with the fat in the milk to form small white particles, thus blocking the nipple. Once the nipple is blocked, a lump will appear in the breast within a few hours. By the time you discover it, it is usually because the nipple is stinging when the baby is sucking milk, so you look at the nipple carefully. This little spot is the cause of your pain.

3 The previous treatment method was to squeeze it with hands, just like squeezing a pimple, but this time it grew too big and deep, and I couldn’t get it out after squeezing it for a whole day. It hurt all day and I didn’t dare to let the baby suck it, so I went online to look for a treatment method, which said to use a needle to pick it out and let the baby suck it. To be honest, it is possible to suck it out if you insist on letting your baby suck it, but if the white spot is too deep or too large, it will take a while of pain to suck it out. So I took a needle and prepared to pick it out, but I really had no idea where to start. It was very painful, and I couldn't get it out, so I had to go to the hospital.

4 Pay attention, the doctor’s treatment: he actually uses a cotton swab! ! ! Are you sure? Those are small particles at the opening of the mammary duct, and they seem to be very deep. How can they be wiped out? The doctor said confidently, of course. So he only prescribed 50 cents of erythromycin for the eyelids. First, rub this medicine on the entire nipple, and rub more on the white spots. Don't worry about it. After a while, take a medical cotton swab, squeeze the nipple with one hand, just like squeezing milk, and try to squeeze the white spots out. With the other hand, take the cotton swab and start rubbing. Rub horizontally and upwards, and always in one direction (just like using a cloth to wipe sand on the ground, you have to move it horizontally and add a little upward force to rub the sand up). Keep rubbing, and apply medicine from time to time to lubricate and dissolve it. The small particles can be rubbed out in a few minutes. After squeezing out the milk, apply the medicine. Be sure to wash it clean when the baby wants to eat. After I got home, I followed the doctor's instructions and, wow, in less than 10 minutes, several large pieces were rubbed out. If I tried to squeeze them out, I would die of exhaustion but still couldn't. Fortunately, I went to the hospital. It was really worth it. . . The particles disappeared, milk gushed out, and the breast lump disappeared immediately.

5 Doctors remind us that if the nipple is blocked, we should not be careless. If we do not squeeze it in time, we may get mastitis. And we must not use a needle to pick it, as it can easily cause ascending infection. Below is the treatment of white bubbles. A few days after squeezing out the grains, the nipple started to act up again. This time, I suddenly stopped producing milk and my entire breast became hard again. I looked closely at the nipple and there were no white spots. What is the reason? I’m worried if I don’t have milk, and I’m still worried if I have milk. I’m about to collapse. At this time, I found that the area around the nipple was a little white, and it was stinging when the baby sucked. I don’t know where to start, so I’d better go to the hospital immediately. This time the doctor took a look and said it was blocked again. How could the same nipple be blocked? She said there was no blockage and no white particles, just a little white around it. The doctor said the milk couldn't come out and the white area was milk. Oh my god, if the milk doesn't come out from this hole, how come it spreads to the surrounding areas?

6 The medicine the doctor prescribed this time was "Luffa" (available in Chinese medicine stores). I was asked to burn it into ashes, mix the ashes with sesame oil into a paste, and apply it to the nipples. He said it could help with unblocking and reducing inflammation, and told me to let the baby suck on the breast all the time. The doctor said it would heal quickly. Apply this medicine after the baby finishes feeding, and wash the nipples with hot water before the next feeding. It may not be washed cleanly, but it doesn’t matter, it is completely harmless to the baby. Do this immediately after returning home. I didn't feel anything when applying the medicine, but it was very painful when the baby sucked on it, like being pricked by a needle. After two treatments, the white area has actually expanded. Why is it getting worse the more it is treated? But I still insisted on applying the medicine. When the baby sucked for the third time, I found a big white bubble in the white area. This is the principle of treatment. Unconsciously, the bubble broke, milk came out again, and the breast lump disappeared
