Brown discharge during luteal phase

Brown discharge during luteal phase

Many girls know that they have menstrual period, ovulation period, and safe period. Menstrual period refers to the menstrual period, ovulation period refers to the period when a woman's uterus and ovaries release an egg, and safe period refers to the date that is not the ovulation period. But few people know that there is also a luteal phase. The luteal phase generally refers to the period from ovulation to the day before menstruation. Many women will have some brown secretions during the luteal phase. What's going on?

It may be ovulation bleeding. Generally speaking, short-term and small amount of ovulation bleeding does not need to be treated. If the amount of bleeding is large, lasts for a long time, or does not heal repeatedly, you should go to the hospital for examination to clarify the cause. The causes of ovulation bleeding are as follows:

1. Sex hormone secretion disorder causes large fluctuations in hormone levels during ovulation, resulting in significant bleeding.

2. Chronic inflammation of the endometrium or inflammatory thickening of the ovarian surface, which makes the endometrium congested during ovulation, and the bleeding is not easy to stop on its own, or the inflammatory thickening of the follicle surface ruptures and bleeds more than normal, and flows back into the uterine cavity with the peristalsis of the fallopian tube and is discharged from the body through the vagina. Both weight-gaining drugs and contraceptives have an effect.

It may be caused by the stimulation of estrogen and progesterone in the body, which may lead to further proliferation of the endometrium, growth of blood vessels, and glands starting to secrete mucus containing glycogen. The above symptoms may occur. Just pay attention to maintaining vaginal hygiene.

There are two possibilities for brown vaginal discharge : one is physiological and the other is pathological. Physiological brown vaginal discharge often occurs in the middle of two menstrual periods, which is the ovulation period, and is a manifestation of ovulation bleeding. Physiological leucorrhea can also be seen one or two days before and after menstruation. It is a sign before menstruation and a manifestation of incomplete menstruation. Pathological brown vaginal discharge may indicate gynecological inflammation or certain malignant tumors and lesions. Various types of cervicitis, endometrial lesions, cervical cancer, etc. may cause brown vaginal discharge. When the brown color of leucorrhea gradually turns into bloody or hematopurulent leucorrhea, it is often a sign of worsening or worsening of the disease.
