Normal picture of cervix

Normal picture of cervix

The normal cervix is cylindrical, with the external cervical os visible in the center. Before vaginal delivery, the cervical opening is circular, and after giving birth, it becomes straight. The surface of the cervix is smooth and light pink. Cervical erosion refers to the displacement of cervical columnar epithelial cells in the original anatomical position and shape, and the cervical part shows red granular changes. The difference between a cervix without columnar epithelial cell displacement and a cervix with columnar epithelial cell displacement is that one is light pink and the other is red granular, both of which are normal physiological phenomena.

Under normal circumstances, the cervix is smooth and its size is generally within the normal range. The cervical erosion and normal cervical photos can be clearly distinguished. Under normal circumstances, the surface of the cervix is light pink, the surface is smooth, and the size is normal. This is a picture of a normal cervix.

If there is a significant erosive surface, it can be seen by the naked eye that some cervical tissues will have erosive hyperplasia or erosive tissue surface. Generally, the diagnosis can be confirmed through gynecological examination or colposcopy. Therefore, whether there is a problem with the cervix is generally divided into first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree cervical erosion by whether the cervix is smooth or the size of the erosion area. Therefore, the difference between cervical erosion and normal cervical pictures is whether the surface of the cervix is smooth. The diagnosis is not too difficult. It can usually be confirmed through gynecological examination or colposcopy. Generally, if the patient has a bad cervix, anti-cancer screening is usually performed. If there is no problem with the cervical lesion screening, it is just simple cervical erosion, which is not a big problem and can be treated with medication. It is not a terrible disease, but a common gynecological disease that is more serious.

The difference between cervical cysts and cervical erosion-like changes lies mainly in two aspects: First, although both occur in the cervix, the diseased tissues are different. The main lesions of cervical cysts are in the glandular ducts. They are mainly caused by various acute inflammations that cause blockage of the cervical glandular ducts, which prevents the mucus secreted by the glandular ducts from being discharged from the body and accumulates in the glandular ducts. The main reason for the cervical erosion-like changes is the displacement of the squamous columnar epithelial cells of the cervix, which can be either physiological or paraphysiological displacement. Second, the characteristics and treatment plans are different. Cervical erosion-like changes are a benign disease. If the patient has no clinical symptoms, no treatment is required. If the patient has clinical symptoms or the cervical cysts are relatively large, self-coagulation knife or cervical erosion surgery, cold knife, incision drainage method or puncture drainage method can be used. When cervical erosion-like changes are physiological changes, no treatment is required; if they are physiological changes, it is necessary to distinguish whether it is cervical intraepithelial neoplasia or cervical cancer, and choose surgery or radiotherapy or chemotherapy for treatment according to the specific situation.
