How to take Yasmin to regulate menstruation

Yasmin is a new generation of contraceptive pills. Compared with emergency contraception for different genders, it has fewer side effects. So, can I take Yasmin if I have irregular menstruation? How should I take it?

Yasmin can improve menstrual irregularities, and Yasmin, the highest dose COC (ethinyl estradiol 0.05 mg), has been shown to reduce the incidence of ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, prostate disease and ectopic pregnancy. COCs have a good effect on making the menstrual cycle more regular, relieving menstrual pain and reducing bleeding. Take one pill a day for 21 consecutive days, then stop for 7 days and then continue taking it for the next cycle.

Yasmin is a small-dose monophasic electrical contraceptive and a short-acting contraceptive. One tablet contains 0.03 mg of ethinyl estradiol and 3 mg of drospirenone, which can achieve nearly 100% contraceptive effect and provide good cycle control. Drospirenone has anti-mineralocorticoid specificity and can prevent weight gain and other symptoms caused by fluid retention.

It fights estrogen-related sodium retention, offers good tolerability, and has a positive effect on early menstrual syndrome (PMS). When combined with ethinyl estradiol, drospirenone increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels and showed a favorable lipid profile. The anti-androgen specificity of drospirenone has excellent effects on the skin, reducing acne damage and the formation of sebaceous glands.

Furthermore, drospirenone does not counteract the increase in SHBG associated with ethinyl estradiol, which is known to bind to and degrade endogenous androgens. Drospirenone has no specificity for any androgens, estrogens, hormonal drugs, or anti-hormonal drugs. This feature, combined with its anti-mineralocorticoid and anti-androgenic properties, makes the biochemical and pharmacological properties of drospirenone very similar to those of pure natural estrogen. In addition, there is direct evidence that the risk of endometrial and ovarian cancer is reduced.

In short, ladies with irregular menstruation are advised to choose appropriate medicines under the guidance of a doctor. After all, Yasmin is an emergency contraceptive, and its main function is contraception.
